Should be an easy question: Is there a way to make the battery icon in the status bar show the percentage as a number?

There are a lot of widgets that will display a percentage but (For gingerbread), I don't think you can change the base battery meter in the notification bar without rooting/installing a third party rom. I'm not 100% sure on that however and I may be completely wrong.

It's a modification of AOSP ICS, sort of like Cyanogen Mod but so much better.

Congrats! Now, do you find that it's MUCH better to hold the phone with the extended battery cover? Or is that just my feeling? I thought it was like holding paper with the standard cover.

the laptop is running, obviously. And usually on the same WiFi.

Maybe its just me, but I kinda like the IOS notifications widgets. Its neat, and its sad that Android hasn't had any. And there are no music player which has the 'play, forward, backward' function besides the Samsung player.

Being able to see weather by pulling down the notifications is nice.

pretty sure both playerpro and poweramp both have pause/skip functions in the notification tray

Nope, tried both, both doesn't have em. And I don't know of any player that has that function.

Widgets can work within notifications through an external app I think, and music player buttons in notifications are only supported since Android 4.0. SGS2's default music player "hacked" them in even on Gingerbread.

Okay sure.

He's on Gingerbread, the feature doesn't work there. The only player with that feature was Samsungs music player in the Galaxy S2.
Nice battery percentage by the way. Living on the edge huh?

Also, doesn't seem like you can have true widgets in the notification bar. Looks like I got mislead by titles. Just some toggles, but those are kind of obsolete if you're on a Galaxy S2 (with a Samsung ROM or CM)

Wow, this is odd. For the Android Market, it said that I've purchased PowerAMP Full Unlocker, when on Google Wallet, it said that the order was declined by the card. As I check on the card, it has a hold/pre-auth on it. Is that $2 hold the payment for PowerAMP? Then it said that it was cancelled on the list of all the apps you downloaded/paid for, and I got an email stating that it was sucessfully charged. WTF?

btw, the hold is on the second card which was like payment declined. I tried again with a different card and I think it worked?

A few, but none that are worth the wait IMO. The Note is a fantastic phone, and I honestly believe we're reaching a plateau point where tech advancements will be more statistical than practical. I'm skeptical of the level of performance increase we'd see from dual to quad cores, considering how smooth everything's running on duals. Once applications are built up around them (and battery life concerns become further alleviated), then they're worth it. But, until then, a good dual core (which is still fairly cutting edge, at that), is more than suitable.

Set up a LAN shared file on your laptop, access via ES File Explorer.

I have a Motorola Xoom that turns on but it only shows a black screen no Motorola logo or anything. I have tried the volume up and power button but that didn't work. The battery is dead now so I'm thinking of picking up a charger to see if I can get it working. Any ideas on what could be wrong. I think it was dropped at some point.
