Yup yup. Now rolling with Omega v.3
Seems pretty great.
Sooo excited for ubuntu on android, did we get a date yet?
You know you can get it installed right now, ubuntu the actual rom for your devices.
So is there any news on when ICS is coming to galaxy s2 phones?
My phone's getting ICS, as in May or something this year. But I feel like I don't want to update it, I know about the epic features and all but will it be way faster? Save way more battery?
i had cf-root 4.3 or something and when i installed ICS Omega i had cf-root 5.2
can roms do this??
Edited:
maybe i did have cf-root 5.2... i dunno, cant remember
Okay then, I'll update it the second it releases and see for myself
I suppose that if the ROM has its own kernel then yeah, it does happen
otherwise, when you'd first flash cm9 you'd still have an old kernel and it wouldn't work
It kinda sucks how you can't upgrade your devices like pcs, though it would be as annoying as doing it to a laptop...
Want more ram
now that you tell me, when i first installed cm9, it didnt change (it booted and all though and was working)
just got my milestone x2 today
shit is fancy as fuck
In about two weeks, I'll send my phone to Rogers who will send it to Sony to fix, which could take a week. Hoping to get a brand new phone since the screen has dead pixels there's that electrostatic noise so I think I'll get a new motherboard, the back cover doesn't fit on properly where it squeaks, yeah.
It's going to be hell without my phone....
Oh well, I guess I can use something called a computer for my FacePunch needs.
you are now the only one with a hero
i browse internet sso much with my phone i wouldnt know what to do without one
Freak out, break into their distribution center where all of the phones are, grab your phone back, maybe get a coffee, then check out if they have some new high end phones around, then you borrow some assesories and such, dick around, then leave with your phone as you tap away on it.
On the topic of horrid themes...

How does anyone think this looks good? :(
Finally got my Acer Iconia
Looks sweet
Edited:
It's not a rom, it's just a hack to run the Ubuntu Iso as a remote PC
Finally made the decision to just get the Galaxy Nexus, excited to get it in a couple of days :D Nearly bought an iPhone 4S but I think I made the right decision...
My only problem with it still is I hope I don't get annoyed by its size.
It's about the same as a 4.3 inch sized phone with capacitive buttons.
They are
I have relatively small hands but have no problems getting around the device, so unless you're a midget I think you'll be fine
Plus it's mostly about how you hold the phone, and Samsung have got the ergonomics spot on
i just got my galaxy nexus back (headphone jack didn't work properly). goodbye iphone
Posting from my new acer iconia. Amazing device so far
uhhh no?
Rooting is about pushing an SU binary to the phone, to get access to the SU command, and Jailbreaking is about changing the firmware in order to install non market apps.
stop

Exactly the same except android fanboys like to sperg out about how it isn't
as a matter of fact the only difference:
I think my IQ just dropped because of you.
thats from circlejerking not me
No I'm pretty damn sure it's because you post shitty arguments and only list horrible sources to back them up.
because shoving your fingers in your ears and shouting im wrong makes it so
Edited:
"As already stated, Rooting and Jailbreaking are essentially the same things, Jailbreaking is the iPhone users' word for what Android users call Rooting. Rooting is when you gain "Root" access to the phone giving you the power to do anything you want to it (it comes from the Unix Root User, essentially the Unix equivalent to the Windows Administrator account). Normally you're prevented from being Root for your own good, as it's very easy to break your phone once you have root access, and quite hard to break it without."

any better?
How about you stop arguing about this?
Rooting and jailbreaking are very similar concepts (more access to the phone), but the technical implementation is very different (changing the firmware vs. adding a su binary).
so it changes the core files?
STOP or else this arguing never ends
