when you jailbreak your iphone or whatever you plug it into the computer and restart it, the jailbreak program changes the system files and installs a custom firmware. Sounds like the same thing (different process) to me

Except you don't have to restart it and it pretty much just gives programs the ability to more advanced stuff

so the only difference is that you have to restart one and the other you dont

And Rooting doesn't really mess with the firmware so much, I don't think.
Since Android is already more open than iOS.

thinking about upgrading my HTC Hero (CDMA) to a Motorola Milestone X2 (aka rebranded DROID X2). I can do it for $80 since I'm due for an upgrade anyway

You guys know that sound your computers make when you bluescreen? usually some sort of violent buzzing from the speakers.
Well my phone likes to make that noise intermittently when i am listening to music, or when i am skipping through songs quickly.
It's not the SD card cause it does this with several of them, any ideas?
Edit: doesn't do this with video, or youtube.

I love my Windows Phone but not as much as I love Android.

CP doesn't necessarily have to have a victim, it's just that 99.9% of the time it does. The thing with pedos is that they've been demonized to be horrible no matter what, and I don't think that's the case.

What actually happens is very similar but the end result and why you do it is very different.
Android is very open when you get it, you just get a ROM on there for better power management and any customization features you prefer over what you had last. Jailbreaking is probably 99.9% used for pirating apps.

theres a reason they dont call rooting jailbreaking and its because the two are very diffferent and not just in dumb semantics

no they are exactly the same except some of the stuff you can do jailbroken you don't need to on android
i have a problem with my power button, it doesn't work at all. i cant put my device in/out of standby mode without leaving it for a while or plugging it in, and a factory reset didnt work.
has anyone had this problem before and how did you fix it? google doesnt help

I had my eyes on this rom for a while but the download links are either uploaded.to or depositfiles which are both fucking bullshit, they never work, anyone have any ideas?

Also, both sites work just fine for me. The download speeds are slow-ish but they work.

whenever i upload stuff i always use dropbox

anyway I'm downloading the ROM from both websites and will rehost it to mediafire (or something else?).. 1 hour left on the first download, two hours on the second one. Speeds change like mad on these two though.,
