I think something fell off the bottom of my car today when I had to mash on the brakes (ABS kicked in) on a wet road. I suddenly heard something metal detaching around the front right fender, and there was a jiggling noise until I went around a corner where the sound suddenly stopped. I pulled over and looked over the bottom of my car and didn't see anything missing. Weird.
Could be something as small or simple as a bolt, clip, or retainer. Maybe the anti-rattle clips on your brake calipers? Take the wheel off at your next opportunity and take a glance around, if everything looks okay, functions, and your suspension feels fine, I wouldn't worry too hard.
It's funny because bradley hates vtec
Bradley should be our moderator
Edited:
also i'm headed to carlisle not this weekend, but the next. hoping to pick up a cheap 302 block or something similar
if bradley become Moderator, I want the toyota advisor status (or turbo dat shit advisor)!!
then I will have a reason to be a dick, like that time when those kids asked me if I drift my supra and I told them NO! they asked why and I said: BECAUSE I LOVE MY CAR and then they derped to hell
I had too many beers I think
do you drift your supra
Hey guys. Typing this from my phone on the way to the hospital.
I was working on the civic and my brother came by and picked me up. We're headed
To the emergency room.
My dad had a stroke. :/
Hope he pulls through okay, i know that feeling :/ I had to drive my dad to the hospital after he had a heart attack. Feelsbadbro.
Hope your dad gets good out of that stroke, best wishes for you.
And on topic of car, I'm going to get my new GMPP Front Sway bar next week, shit is way thicker than my stock one.
Already showed this picture but :
Handling is shit with a broken front sway bar, and the clunking is annoying.
And it should be awesome with the GMPP thicker sway bar. And the rear end-link was to replace a broken one, will change the other one once I have a bit more money. Being a student sucks.
On the good side of things, I already have a job debuting on the 14 of May, and my boss for said job called me this week to offer me another spot in the wildlife reserve, with better conditions, whom I'm going to check the place out tomorrow. If I score that one, I'm getting my diploma 2 weeks earlier and well, begining to work on the 30 of April.
Tell me bout it, I am lucky I have a job as a student, but I am getting laid off within a month.
Still going for that engine swap no matter what.
So im kinda stupid
as i NEVER checked the coolant, but religiously checked the oil every day once i tagged the jeep.
So now it runs at like 130 *F instead of ~180 *F
Bumper is still crooked.
OH
AND I MAY OF BEEN A 4 CYL JEEP FOR THE PAST MONTH
>2 plugs almost all the way loose
feels badman
Deffo seems to have more power now
Yeah well, I'm nearly done with my post high school studies, either 1 week or 3 week left, depending on if I get the new spot tomorrow. The place I'm running for tomorrow is 4 days a week (Monday to Thrusday), 40hrs a week, food paid, bedroom paid, truck given there, and is governmental. The pay is 13,17$ for the first 60 days, then we get 6% raise, then next season another 3% more. In term of a year it pays about 40,000 a year, but I'll be working on contract. Running for wildlife agent too, but that's a big ass contest. Either ways, up here in Quebec there's plentiful of job covering my domain.
Considering I'll already have two diplomas at 17 and that I'm already having no problem having jobs, it's not bad, eh![]()
I discovered today that my drum brakes were apparently retrieved from the Titanic, judging by how rusted they are.
I know that feeling
My dad had a stroke four years ago
noodle pls go

Also it's time to remove those god damn annoying rings:
(not my picture)
What would be the best way of removing them? Don't have access to many tools, and I'm fairly sure it won't be too hard since the rings are rusted
hacksaw
grinder
sawzaww
Laser watch
1 tool. Wire cutter's if the band is not too think.
Also took my car to a muffler shop. "I'm sorry I cant do anything for you. All that I sell will not fit." So I will take it to some one else that want's my money more than him. All I want is it to be louder! I don't want to be accused of a fly!
Don't have any of those. Maybe I can do something with a hammer, pliers, and a screwdriver
Edited:
Plus I don't have a jack, so it's going to be quite stuffy under there when I'm removing the rings
Edited:
Actually I'll have access to a wide variety of tools and a jack tomorrow. I'm gonna try using the hacksaw, hopefully it's rusted enough to saw through with ease
aww yeah :flashfap:

Aw yeah, 7 dumbs.
Gotta catch 'em all.

Well, I'm home. It wasn't a stroke, which is good, it would have ben the second one he's had. Turns out he's been having small seizures that led up to a very big one tonight, it lasted a good half hour or more.
I didn't know what happened until after I got to see him at the hospital, everything got explained after that. I felt really out of the loop for a while. It's also the first time my family has been completely together in a long time, my mother, father, sister, and brother (who has been in Iraq since March 2011). What an awful place for a family reunion.
Anyways, my dad's on seizure medication for now until he goes in next week to see a neurologist to see why he's having seizures. Until then, suspended driver's license, so I'm his personal driver everywhere until he gets this cleared up.
Which means in 4 hours I have to go pick him up for work, so I'm going to go get some sleep. I'm just glad he's okay.
Thanks everyone.
(Except Noodle. Fuck you.)
That's a nice RX7
Why in the hell would you think that's even remotely appropriate to post?
(User was banned for this post ("Dumb "Get out" reply." - postal))
Because he's noodle, and hates himself because mommy and daddy are divorced, which he blames on his mom, as he hates her fucking guts and i believe once said "I wish she would just fucking die she's so DUMB"
smoke weed 420
Bolt cutters, dikes.
Edited:
Really sorry man, I hope everything checks out okay and he has a speedy recovery. No one deserves that.
Let's all report noodle for flaming/trolling. THAT WAS NOT APPROPRIATE NOR TOLERABLE
fuck you noodle.
Bradley, good to hear it wasnt a stroke and I guess he's going to be alright
Let's all smoke weed 420
Edited:
I've decided that instead of buying a new car, I'm going to use that money instead to turn my jeep into a monster truck

Jesus fuck, 186mph and the headlights still work. What caught fire? Fuel line? The engine bay looks fine.

At work today me and another guy drove off in a VW Polo Mk5 to go and pick up a car at a shop for respraying. When we arrived I got the dumbest question in history: "Do you want to drive the Polo or the Prius we're picking up back?"
Any dumb american driver would've died instantly.

I've never seen you posted anything as stupid as this up til this point, shame on you.
So, a question for you guys. My brake drums are very rusty on the outside (and a bit on the inside as well, but not very much.) The people in my auto class said I should replace the drums- but should I do more? I don't have a picture of the inside right now, but I don't know if I should try bleeding the brakes and/or changing the shoes. Will it save me enough money to do it myself, or just take it to a shop?
Or should I just post a picture and get your opinion before I do anything?
Cast iron brake drums are going to look rusty as fuck anyways. You're probably overthinking it.
I'm serious, I've seen quite a few accidents just caused by them being idiots. In Europe, you have to go through extensive tests, unlike here where it's a joke. There are reasons we don't have fast highways here, people aren't smart enough to drive on them safely.
So I was driving my car to a friends place and nothing seemed wrong. I spent the afternoon there and when I went to start my car the exhaust sounded a hell of a lot louder than before.
Reason:
I don't know why but they put a weird-ass spring loaded flange between the muffler and catalytic converter even though the whole thing is already suspended by rubber. Could of just bolted it together. As you can see the welds on the converter side broke all the way around. I don't have the tools to weld it back on because it will require removing the converter and I know those bolts will be IMPOSSIBLE to remove with a hacksaw but would it be easier to use that flexible metal mesh tube stuff (think finger traps) and just cut off the other side of the flange, slip it on and clamp it in?
Yes because yurop never has accidents
You're a retard
