Right. What I'll do is edit the map to include the Cornucopia (etc) and then get on writing an OP. FlubberNugget, add me on steam?
Invite me as well. Could be fun.
If you need another player I'll be up for it.
Also, There is now a thread in GiP! Show your support!
I'm up for the "Hungercraft Games." add me on Steam and I'll join!
Admittedly I'm interested too, post any updates on how the creation is coming along and I'd love to join depending on timings.
This is twice I've done something stupid and fallen into this ravine, only to be saved coincidentally. First, I placed a torch and the gravel I was on fell into a spider web (talk about lucky) before placing enough dirt to get back up.
The second time, I accidentally double-tapped D and fell off into a waterfall. Can't be pushing my luck like that.
And then at the bottom, while hiding from a skeleton, it shot a creeper and it exploded right next to my face, causing a whopping zero damage.
Reminds me of that time having to jump off a cliff like in those action movies to escape some monsters, only to hit the ground halfway, lose all but half a heart, and land into 1m deep water safely.
Here's my giant underground base thing I was talking about earlier. This part of it is done, but I'm still working on making the entrance to it (It will be hidden in another fortress on the overworld). If you want to keep it a secret and explore it for yourself when you're done don't click on the link.
Also, what if there's a great flood? Are there airlocks in the event of such a thing? You've got to account for every possible yet unlikely apocalypse there is, or it could potentially but most likely not be the end of human life as we know it!
THINK OF THE CONSEQUENCES MAN
I finally got some more time to work on my mod.
Successfully created a new packet that networks changes in a player's max health! Woo! The first piece of actual progress for my mod!
Now to begin filling in that mysterious UI of mine!
Sadly, Minecraft isn't Dwarf Fortress, so elaborate fortresses aren't exactly necessary. Still, kudos for making one.
Anyone have a list of survival mods? I'm hosting a server with friends and I want some survival mods since I think minecraft is missing something. Haven't found any good ones so far though.
Kas has updated Painterly Pack to 1.2 specifications, saying that the patch is due "this week sometime".
Also, should I be worried that I'm getting a lot of Password Reset Requested emails?
When was the last time Notch was on an official project for mojang?
so Notch is basically the equivalent of a substitute teacher for now
Which biome colors look better for the swamp?
I'd go for the second one.
Do I really need Bukkit to install RedPower on a server?
Christ, I can't seem to get RedPower working, followed the installation guide and nothing.
Devpunch time again.
Most of the time I spent working on this went into the internals - the objects in the menu are created easily code-wise by adding a single line, and the name/desc is stored in the language file (which allows for localizations).
I need to add stuff on the left-hand side still (obviously), as well as fill out the right-hand side. I also need to add scrolling capabilities to the right-hand side, because it's going to have more contents in it than it can show on screen at any one time. If you can't tell, the bottom box on the right-hand pane is a description box - when you hover over an object in either pane, that box will fill in with helpful text. Nothing hovered over? No text is drawn. Simple mechanic.
Enjoy this little update.
The painterly 1.2 update is so brilliant, but it does mean, that once again...I have to spend quite a while picking everything I want.
A bit of explanation:
I'm trying to practice with redstone, so before you say "just put the lever next to the door", I want you to know this isn't for opening the door, but to practice with redstone.
Anyway, how do I work this? I want to keep the redstone hidden, but I'm not sure how to keep it hidden AND have this setup open the door. Putting a block over some redstone going up just severs the link, so I'm not sure what to do.
