Does a house have to be wood in order for villagers to move in?
Does a house have to be wood in order for villagers to move in?
I think it can be any house like structure as long as it has a door and lighting inside.
Excellent. Looks like I'll be able to populate my concrete city with villagers after all.
Although it makes it more realistic I guess, it would make the game too easy. Find a pocket of iron, boom you now have a stack of iron ingots. Same with all the other ore types.
How do I fix my world so it doesn't black screen when it needs to be converted?
If I wanted to have a mod on my server that I could use to name unique items, what would I use?
Guys, can you remind me the name of one mod. It was a mod where you could fly anything you've built. I mean, you could build like, let's say, a plane. Then you would put a block or something in it and at the bottom it would say something like "523 blocks detected" and then you could fly the thing you've built. It would say yaw and shit on the bottom left corner.
I remember this mod from some video that someone poster here on Facepunch. So, does anyone remember?
I know I'm not describing it very clearly, but I do hope someone will tell me the answer.
Airship mod
Zepplin Mod if airship doesn't work.
Thank you guys. I'd hug you if I could.
is anybody else having redstone problems? I can't turn my torches off, has it changed? I haven't played in months.
Give me the hugs :3
make the redstone go to the block that the torch is connected too. otherwise the torch will keep the redstone active if directly connected.
Heh, the animation was half decent and that was actually pretty funny to watch. I'm surprised, Minecraft community.
It appears that the Nether isn't actually that laggy, it's all the fire everywhere.
I lit a Jungle tree on fire and my FPS turned into a PowerPoint presentation.
That's like one of the few minecraft animations that look good.
Me and my friends were considering trying a 'hunger games' style gamemode, based on the book, and pretty much this:
(open for it to be viewable)
Basically, I was wondering if anybody knew any kind of custom map that existed for it, as in, 'everyone starts in the middle, and there's goodies in the centre' Or would you recommend me simply going on creative and building it?
Hah, I would really like to play that. Somebody should do a stream of a large game of that.
When can we expect the next full update?
I reskinned my Snow Golems to look more like Iron Golems...
I now see why iron golems have 'Noses'.
Zepplin Mod
Edited:
those look better imo
Edited:
you should be able to dye your iron golems
Is curse down for everyone?
They reach capacity what seems like twice a minute now.
There is one custom map I know of where everyone starts in a flat area in the middle; it seems like it would be pretty well-suited to this kind of thing. The only thing it lacks is a perimeter wall, but the ocean surrounding the main island is pretty big and you could put up a wall in MCedit.
(Ignore the buildings in the middle, I use this map for singleplayer and so they're my own constructions)
There's the DL link if you're interested:

This is one of the things that only work on paper.
Why don't you think it'll work?
I there any way to downgrade a server to alpha 1.1.2_01?
I'll be happy to play in this gamemode anyday!
MCnostalgia downgrades Minecraft but I'm not sure if it works on servers.
Not many people have the time to frequently get together with a group of friends and have an organised game so I can't see it really kicking off, also the idea of "stakes" is completely ridiculous as the game could very easily be fixed by the game master for a cut.
As for the mechanics, if I tried this with my friends I know it wouldn't work, because it would just be too damn hilarious for the game master to troll people.
Tbh even if the game master wasn't a troll I can't see it being any more interesting than co-op SMP or an adventure map.
Also the "you must leave the game when you die" thing would suck. When I play games with my friends I don't want one of them to have to leave and I don't want to have to leave myself. Stupid rule.
Make your buildings look like ruins and we'll have a perfect map for this.
If you get me the map I'll host it.
i would like to join in on the Hunter Games if someone were to host it
I played a hunger games map actually once, my friend hosted it and invited me to play with a bunch of other people. When the game started everyone got pushed to the center where there where a bunch of chests, and then wilderness outside. Sadly everyone just took shit from the chest and started killing everyone else and no one actually left the center.
I also would like to join.
Broville could be cool for that gamemode.
Edited:
I guess I could stream for 3 hours.
You say that, when in fact we've played smaller matches before (3-4 people) and it worked fine. This time however, we're going to add in rules even more tightly linked with the book. There will be the 'cornucopia' in the middle, filled with stuff. You can choose to run it it, or you can just run away. Also, when you die, you can choose to become a 'sponsor' for the player; in a way, shadowing their moves. If you see they are in trouble, you can appeal to the Gamemaker (in this case, me) who can give you the oppurtunity to provide them with a gift.
Edited:
And holy shit that map is perfect. I'll edit it with world painter (more trees, an actual cornucopia in the middle) and I'll reupload it here? This could honestly work!
Edited:
Broville isn't really in the 'spirit' of the Hunger Games. The point is the whole 'survival' aspect. It's a lot more fun too.
Edited:
Should I make some description of a thread here? If enough people are interested...
In GiP, please.
Server threads aren't meant to go in the MC section
I know that, I just want to know if it's worth doing, considering I have no server (minus FlakTheMighty's) and it was just a stupid idea me and my friends wanted to do.
