    Uh... no?

I use my SMG a lot on my Infiltrator. I have the one that has a 50 round magazine and holds like 800 extra rounds. Put it on Tungsten/Inferno or Disruptor ammo and it RIPS through armour/shields like nobody's fucking business
I found it too annoying how it took an entire fucking "magazine" to kill someone with them. Preferred the mattock no matter how overpowered it was. yeah, assault rifles on infiltrator, deal with it

It's 'reduced cost'. Is that better?

For that extra $20 you're getting:

-4x6 lithograph NOT sold on the Bioware store. At their cheapest Lithographs are $10 and at their most expensive they're $40
    -An N7 Patch
-70 page hardcover art book (Hell to the motherfucking yes)
    -Mass Effect Dark Horse Comic(s)
    -ME3 Digital Soundtrack

AND the DLC stuff which includes:
    -N7 Weapons and Armour
    -Alternative squad member appearance pack
    -Robot dog pet
    -AND From Ashes.

In my opinion that's well worth $20 if not more. I'd pay $20 for just the Lithograph and the art book
good luck getting those physical items with a digital preorder

Idunno about you, but I personally like having immediate hit feedback.
I find hitmarkers in singleplayer very distracting. Takes away immersion etc. If you want good feedback wouldn't nice sound effects, animations and physics get it across much better? Or even the quiet "snap" sound you can hear in CoD multiplayer when you hit someone, or the similar one in Crysis without the hitmarker?

Hit markers are like crack cocaine. There's a certain Instant gratification to it that makes them addictive to players. it might seem like it changes your immersion on the surface, to you, but the subconcious function is that it makes combat more tactile, which makes you feel more responsible for it, and your own actions which in turn ADDS to the player's immersion. Either way its' a thing you'd just get used to and stop caring about after 5-10 minutes of gameplay anyway.

I understand others like it and I'm fine with it in multiplayer, but it constantly bothers me in SP. See: Battlefield 3. Just wish UI related stuff like that was optional in every game so you could disable any part of the HUD you don't like. But what developer would bother?

I think you're confused, it's not Helghast or Locust armor, you straight up fight them as an enemy in the co-op on those respective consoles.

Also, I get the Helghast as the PS3 go-to enemy

but for 360, are these guys really not thinking about what is the 360's most prominent exclusive?

I'd WAAAAAAAAAY rather fight the Covenant than Locusts. Call me a minority, but I prefer Halo to Gears, really.

To be honest I think it's a budgetary thing.

Helghast can use all of the Cerberus animations.
Locusts can use a lot of the husk animations.

Elites have fairly unique body structures which would require porting animations across which would use a lot more of that precious memory the consoles don't have much of.

Actually, I think they'd just be Cerberus reskins with a few husk animations.

Elites are built similarly to Turians (legs, hands), they're just bigger. Too bad Turians use human animations.

Really? Husks use weapons? Great. Another Insanity monster.

Husks on Insanity are a real pain in the dick, when they swarm you, and all those little bastards have armor and your shotgun cannot fire fast enough
