Am I a bad person for preferring OSX over Windows 7?
Am I a bad person for preferring OSX over Windows 7?
OSX isn't really a bad OS, although I'd personally still prefer w7 over OSX.
I've never even really used OSX so I have no opinions on it. If macs weren't so damn expensive I'd have bought one by now to try it.
The 3TB drives are back instock at amazon for 199 each.
Oh my god, should I do it? buy 4 of them?
SHOULD I
not before I buy them all
muahahahaha
I've been using it in a VM so far, I don't think I'd willingly buy Apple hardware unless I had a load of money to spare though.
66$ per terabyte for single TB platters, 64mb Cache, 7,200RPM.
Before you paid ~40$ for a terabyte drive.
Seems to be a good enough deal, get it! But I would not get four of the, but yeah, I do not know your financial state so....
Fuck it, get them!
DO IT
Edited:
HELL, BUY SIX!
If I had the money, I suppose a top of the line Mac pro would make a good door stop (I could get rid of my spectrum then!)
I want RAID 0 performance and then mirroring. So Raid 10. hence 4 of em. I paid 80 for my WD 2TB greens. So yes, about 20 bucks more per TB, but also those drives were much slower and much higher fail rate. So I don't see it as much of a difference.
Buy them all.

I just realize my brother only has 160gb of storage on his PC.
That's what happens when you build a PC using a majority of old parts.
What's the minimum amount of storage you would accept?
Smallest hard drive I've personally owned was a 500gb that I still use now, but if you count SSDs it'd be 120gb.
Fuck this is a lot of money. I need to get a credit card to build credit.
I think the current hard drive I have is 300gb.
I only got a credit card to build credit using Newegg purchases when I built my current rig and bought parts for my brother's rig.

How do you live?
I have a ~300GB Windows partition.
Difficultly.
Edited:
32gb left apparently
Seems like Engadget has one of the first reviews on the Razer Blade.
http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/22/razer-blade-review/
I have about 14GB left on my 500GB hard drive. Sometimes it even drops below 1GB.![]()
I can easily live on 160GB
But that's because i have my 6TB server
60gb SSD and 143gb HDD, I'm officially worse off than Makol, where do I sign up for the free case?
Did I ever tell you guys that one of the guys who works here was diagnosed with cancer and was told he has 3 months to live.
That happened in august. And he's still working here. No idea why. I just thought of it because he submitted a support ticket to add some Vlans.

I like being charitable, but I'm going to have to stop or slow down with it.
This reminds me. I have a spare 750watt Antec PSU sitting in my closet.
same model as the one that DID explode
Maybe because he is still alive?
My arts teacher has/had cancer. She has been wearing that wig for around a year now I guess.
/r/hardware are assholes. I post a question asking what people thought of a four drive raid, and within 5 minutes I get 2 downvotes bringing my post to negative karma.
That's why I don't go to those places, people are either assholes or pretty stupid most of the time.
I normally go to /r/hardware for posting stuff because USUALLY they are people who aren't children and want to talk about comp hardware.

For a LAN pc

The deed is done. Holy shit I get a weird sensation when spending insane money on stuff.
That thing looks really beat up.
Nothing a good clean can't fix.

Not only that, the CPU alone goes for £40
Alright well, from this point on, I see nothing I even really want to buy anymore. Watercooling would be nice but that's only for even quieter stuff. I want you guys to stop me from buying more shit.
KaY!@?
Then go for it.

Ok.
Then give me your wallet.
Now for a projector.
Preordered
FUCK
I called my brother computer illiterate
his response:
"computers can't read either"
I wish I had that amount of disposable income...
Edited:
OCR.
I spent money on fast food, tuition, and my computer.
That's about it. I made $1400 last year from youtube though.
