Click at your own discretion. It might disturb some people, not joking.
I wish people wouldn't look at one unsourced article and take it as fact, there was no teenagers who taped the firework to the dog
It was a drunk idiot throwing fireworks and the dog picked one up

The story with the dog walking around for months with half a face is just a sob story from 4chan, the police arrived and shot it on the scene

I still can't get over how badly Microsoft fucked up the security on the original Xbox.

    Computer Science History 101:

In the beginning, there was Intel.
    Intel made CPUs.
Some other companies also made CPUs.

When you turned on a CPU back in those times, it would either start at top of memory or start of memory.
Intel had a feature where if you went over the top of memory, it would roll over to the start of memory (0x00000000)

    This was for compatibility reasons.

Xbox development systems used AMD CPUs.
AMD CPUs did not have this legacy-functionality because AMD was a much newer company, they didn't need that functionality, so why build it?

Nearing production, Microsoft switched the Xbox to Pentiums.
When an Xbox panics, it drives over the top of memory to crash itself. This is so you can crash the system but still be able to blink the LEDs on the device to tell the user something really, really bad just happened.
Crashing the system also disables the really, really super-duper-secret part of memory that has all kinds of security code Microsoft didn't want people to see.

Well, when they switched to Intel CPUs, that broke, and nobody realized that.
So you'd put some instructions at the start of memory that say "hey, jump into this super secret part of memory that Microsoft doesn't want me to see", and then crash the Xbox.

(Disclaimer: I dumbed it down as much as I could)
    yeah microsoft cant security

i mean there is even no reason to buy a full version of windows 7 ever.

just install the win7 upgrade cd on a clean HDD, run it in its 30 day trial, and then just install win7 again on top of itself and presto! it takes your upgrade key

I just put my computer back together in my temporary case, I need more thermal paste. What's a good thermal paste to get? I also need need a quiet 120mm, something that'd go with a black and blue theme since I'll be getting four of them.

Price isn't an issue at the moment.

After spending a lot of time cleaning up my music library and resyncing all my songs with the iTunes library updater feels so great. Especially syncing my iPod and watching all those old songs I never liked disappear.

A lot of the music simply stayed with me from my first computer as I kept backing up and backing up and backing up.

Also, I would pay for Microsofts old style defragger to be remade with the original style of all the single cluster blocks moving around and replaced. Honestly, some of the best time was spent watching that.

I decided I going to take my 120gb SSD from my desktop and put it in my laptop. I'm also going to get a second SSD, 90gb version of the 120gb version I have now, and put it my laptop aslo. Why? Because I can. I'm also going to upgrade from 4gb of ram to 8gb.

Dunno what I'm going to use the 750gb hard drive my laptop came with, maybe I'll use it in my desktop.

    unknown, what

I just set fps_max to 0 before doing it, I was using it to compare between my Q9400 (which got around 600 with the same settings)

Do what odellus said and it bypasses the built in limit. Defaults to 300, I normally autoexec most stuff to 90fps or something unless I'm doing anything competitive then I leave it max. Those fraction of frames sometimes help.
