I had a dream once where Woody Harrelson was out to kill me in a forest but Matt Damon saved me by incapacatating Harrelson.
I had a dream where Chris Hansen and Morgan Freeman convinced me to cook an english breakfast for a narwhal.

Dreams about weed and guns are pretty intense.

Also We Made God are fucking wonderful. Listen to them. Their vocalist is reminiscent of Deftones apparently, though I've never heard Deftones, which I should do.

I'm recording some vocals, and the tracks are clipping. Is there a way to determine whether it's Audacity or my mic?

Turn down the track volume on audacity so it is not above zero, and turn down the gain on the mic.

If you can do that. I don't use audacity. But you should be able to. If not, audacity is retarded

I wonder what it could be? Maybe it's a vinyl reissue, or maybe they're gonna do a Frances the Mute tour, I doubt it though with Noctourniquet just being released. I'm hoping for the former though, I don't wanna spend $200 to get one of the originals.

Well, I've gotten into Krzysztof Penderecki recently...
(If you want to sleep soundly tonight you won't want to listen to this)
First, let's have the experience of Hiroshima in 1945, complete with air raid sirens.
Then, a memorial to the rotting corpses of the first world war's trenches.
And finally, a foray into the mind of someone slowly going insane.
(Yes Penderecki has "hipster frames", and yes he does resemble Gordon Freeman somewhat.)
Penderecki is a living Polish composer born in 1933.

he wouldn't have gotten anywhere without reznor's help, also he sucks

    h2h
Saw him play during one of the late nineties' NIN tours. They sucked and I distinctly remember my friend looking over and asking "who the fuck are these guys?" That said, I think Portrait of an American Family has a few decent songs.

PWEI, on the other hand, was fucking awesome in every sense of the world. As were NIN, but that should be plainly obvious.

I feel like I just had an epiphany. I just listened to all of "Like Gold and Faceted" by Earth while having a pretty lengthy conversation with a friend and now I feel like I've steeled my ears and brain for drone/doom. I'm listening to Sunn O))) now. This is from someone who laughed at the idea of listening to stuff like this six months ago.

Man, all it takes is a good experience/listen of one particular album then the genre is your bitch. I used to hate Sunn O))) to death thinking "how could anyone like this shit", listened to a drone collab album with Aidan Baker and Tim Hecker and I dig the shit out of drone.

I was already into a bit of the genre but the more coherent side of it. I like a lot of Boris released but mostly their experimental rock stuff. Feedbacker was great though. I really enjoy This Well Destroy You's last release, Tunnel Blanket. I'm knee deep into Post-Metal. I enjoyed Earth's later releases a lot but I never owned any of them and tonight was like "Hey man I'm listening to this while we're talking lol I'll never finish this song." and a half hour later "Welp, I'm going to bed. That song was awesome."

I'm still getting into Post-Metal. I like to say I'm into the genre but I only listen to Isis, really have to give some other bands a chance. And I gotta get into Boris aswell, everybody seems to love them.

There is a post-metal thread around here somewhere. I highly recommend Omega Massif.

As for Boris, they have a lot of stuff. Depends on what you want out of them because they have a lot of really awesome rock and then they have their drone/doom stuff and then they have some other things.
