Wowzer, that Defensive Engie Pack might be the very first instance of Engineer buildings that look fantastic AND fit the game. Super kudos and here's hoping Valve thinks the same.

They may look very nice, and I have to agree. But the animations are really vital for the buildings, I wonder if Jalcober will be able to show them at one point.

The other thing is that their appearance suggests their functionality to be highly, highly situational. It's obviously part of why they look so good-- if they were too generic, they'd lose their appeal. But I'm afraid that it'll scare Valve off if they can't come up with a decent, well-rounded set of game-changing attributes for them.

It all comes down to how their lawyers phrase it. If they added something like that the tickets would drop or you could mail in your entry.

I could see Valve implementing some kind of scratch-off lottery, like, match 3 Saxtons without uncovering a Hippy and you win a hat, or if you uncover an Australium Bar, you get an unusual.

It'd certainly be more fun than the crates, and it'd probably sell much better than the keys, seeing as how there's that "OH GOD, I COULD HAVE WON IF I SCRATCHED OFF THAT ONE, I WON'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN..." factor.

Seeing as how people got mad after VALVe made Mann co. store bought items craftable after a few days, getting hats and unusuals like that would not only make crates obsolete, but make a lot of people mad.

How about just sticking to metal? Best you can get is refined.

I think there's only two settings, Halloween/Full-Moon and Birthday.

A christmas setting would be nice, even if all it did was add the cables of lights to maps.

Wow. Just wow. Almost all of those are just hats that already exist for one class and have been taken and put on the head of another class, with a bit of recoloring and shape changing to make it look a tad different.

I didn't know 3/9 was the majority. 3 of those look similar in style (Sniper, Medic, and Demo) to a hat another class has (Although they may actually be a completely different sort of hat), but they are still very nice hats which look good on them.

I really hope it doesn't get added. It's just the type of edgy crap that CoD-kids like (just like the skull style for the Villain's Veil). It'd be especially annoying if it's from a F2P game.
