These posted yet?
Added to cp_steel.
Damn, cp_steel is already messy, so imagine it with a robot boss in it...
It's not that complicated of a map.
It's just that people have difficulty following the arrows pointing them in the right direction.
Indeed. This map is not a problem for me tbh. It's just that some people keep getting lost into it.
Those are .wav's. Does that mean we can access and listen to them?
we've tried that, they're not actually there.
Steel is confusing the first few times through, come on now.
Steel is one of my favorite maps.
So, the Top Secrets Rooms were always there, but now those updated maps are getting strings for upcoming content. Now THAT does makes sense :)
anyone checked out ravine? the blu spawn there is phat, so they could have added stuff here.
oh hey, a very old friend (we're talking STS leak here) reared its head again
Old: "description_string": "+%s1% increased airblast pushback",
Was changed to: "description_string": "+%s1% airblast push force",
also PDA slots for Engy/Spy were STS era.
The leak that will never die
Isn't that the unused attribute for the Degreaser?
oh boy prepare yourself for next week
It was always assumed it was for the Griefblower, since it was added right around (I think a week before) the Uber update
Does Buildings Destroyed apply to the sapper? Destroying a sapper, I mean. If so, I really want a Strange Homewrecker.
I think you can use it on any weapon that does damage, it won't exclusively count sappers though, if you actually destroy a building with it.
I know that much, i'm just asking if breaking sappers off a building adds 1 to the counter.
probably, it's still a building (and building related Pyro achievements count sappers)
Wait, with a new sapper and PDA slot, could one team build robots and another team sap them?![]()
Maybe in the future they will add specific counters for specific buildings destroyed, who knows!
If we get to fight the robot boss on Steel, I will be very happy. Steel is far and away my favorite map, but I can never get anybody to play on it with me. Maybe a big-ass robot will change their minds.
if they're gonna put it on the least popular map it should be Hydro
(what's hydro again?)
A series of chokepoints, which is why its never played.
So why is Dustbowl and Goldrush (which basically is Dustbowl as payload) so popular then?
I dunno. I never get bored of Badwater, Dustbowl and Goldrush but hate Hydro.
With all this hidden shit being sneaked into weekly updates on a regular basis and judging from how shit went down last year, you'd expect the major update to burst in any week now.
I want to believe this, but with the trend of past "hidden shit" being sneaked into updates, it's almost always been a matter of
"Hey, Robin, this is an email to ask about that strange string of code that we discovered four months ago! Love, Scarabix.
Scarabix, That was from a test we tested to test for a possible test one time and then forgot about. Then we forgot about it some more and then we scrapped forgetting about testing scrapping it. It's nothing. -Robin."
Meanwhile, in 2008...

I had ANOTHER theory...
So we now know for sure that there's a nuke.
We know that Valve is working on a new game mode (Raid Mode).
And we know that there is something in the works involving robotic members of the team.
So, what do nukes, raids, and robots have to do with Team Fortress 2?
Here's my idea:
The Mann brothers have been feuding for years, attempting to outlast the other.
They've hired teams of mercenaries and even built machines that defy the laws of nature.
But NOTHING was working.
Redmond Mann was running out of options.
He HAD to outlive his brother.
Looking to end the feud once and for all, Redmond made a deluxe purchase from one Saxton Hale: several fully-functioning nuclear devices.
He had to keep this under wraps, lest his rat-fink of a brother catch wind of it.
Redmond ordered the nukes to be stored in the various front operations he hadset up; guarded until the time suited him best.
But he couldn't leave something so dangerous as a nucelar warhead in the hands of those mercenaries, they could barely defend a simple briefcase.
No, he would need something far more efficient than any man.
Faced with such a conundrum, Redmond comissioned Dell Conagher to come up with a way to protect the nukes.
Never one to disappoint, the Engineer presented Redmond with his finest work, something he had been perfecting for quite a while: a brigade of robots, each one featuring weaponry far beyond that of any of the mercenaries.
Robotic Soldiers with homing missles, Robotic Heavies that were nigh-unstoppable; the possibilities were endless.
And so, the team of Robotic Mercenaries were dispatched to the locations to protect the nukes.
However, Redmond's fears of BLU infiltration were entirely justified; a BLU Spy had heard of the entire plan.
To make matters worse, the robots began to act... strangely...
They were going awol, attacking anything and everything.
Redmond could only think of the mess he had on his hands: an army of blood-thirsty, unstoppable killer robots, all going haywire within the vicinity of nuclear weapons that could reduce everything in a hundred mile radius to a radioactive cinder.
He had to call in the team.
Meanwhile, Blutarch couldn't believe the opportunity he was just handed.
Several nuclear devices, each one positioned on his brother's land.
If they could be detonated, or better yet, CAPTURED, he could very well bury his brother once and for all.
However, he lacked any remote means to detonate the devices...
He had to call in the team.
RAID MODE!
You must work together as a team to capture the nuke! However, the nuke is guarded by a squad of malfunctioning robot mercenaries! And they just keep coming!
Fight the mechanical onslaught and the enemy team to gain control of a genuine nuclear warhead!
Be warned, it's a tad heavier than your average briefcase... (players carry the bomb using that carrying animation, the one with both hands)
That's just an idea I had, bring on the rainbows.
that's pretty cool.
I am extremely late I know, but I think that PDA could give new sentries, and if you put gunslinger to that it would be same sentry but shrinked to mini-size. That could work and don't sounds too bad.
Whatever controls the item attributes output on backpack sites and the steam inventory/trading needs to put in the applicable code for the strange part trackers. It's not visible anywhere except in game as far as I can see right now.
I would not expect new buildings.
I would however like new sappers
