How the hell can something called Devil on a G-String not have very much explicit content?
I don't know much about the VN but I think it means the string on a guitar, not the underwear

Added an image for Higurashi since the other didn't work.

Finally an excuse to post this underrated ds game

    999: 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors

Synopsis: The main protagonist Junpei was kidnapped along with other 8 others by a mysterious person. Awoken by the sudden shake on the floor, Junpei was shock that he was in a ship, lock in a room, with water pouring out of the window

    Genre: Action, Drama, Psychological

Opinion: You need to play it several times, you'll know what I mean if you play it. Do not be discourage if you got the bad ending first because it's still connected to the story. Also it has some dark humor in it.
Wow, I really REALLY want to try this.

Just a note on Fate/Stay Night (my personal favourite) - I know there was a patch being developed in order to remove the H-content by replacing it with the scenes from the PS2 re-release, Realta Nua. I'm not sure how far that got, though...Look it up if you'd rather skip over the slightly awkward sex scenes, they might have put something out.

On that note...Best place to check for anyone who's interested in F/SN and Tsukihime is a site called Mirror-Moon, as they should have English patches available.

As well as that, Fate/Zero, the prequel to Fate/Stay Night, actually started as a novel, and that was being translated as well (though by now it's probably easier to watch the anime, which is really good) - again, not sure how far that got, but it is out there and shouldn't be too hard to find.
Right, forgot about adding Mirror Moon

Also, Realta Nua is already available as a patch, adds some slashes and voices into the game. The Hentai scenes can be disabled, I think, but I don't mind H-scenes that much, especially in Fate/stay night since how unimportant they are.

Really, if you have doubts, don't play Saya no Uta. it's extremely high in the nightmare fuel scale.
    Now I'm getting interested

Testing the new layout in actual post because no other screen on FP can actually emulate it (PMs cut off more screen than normal and the preview screen adds too much more)

Feel free to ignore this post as it'll be edited out before you see it probably (?)

(snipped experimental VN list as it was a success, owned)

It's nothing like in OP, it's 5-10 minutes long, but:

That's a finished one, and tonight I just released the beta for my new one:

Sure, this is the megathread for all visual novels, feel free.

Though you shouldn't if it's malicious or something like that

You can test it by "Make a new thread" and then "Preview post" I think.

Seems to work, but since I have a small resolution I have a horizontal scrollbar, still, it's very nice. Though I think we should keep the recommended vn image somewhere.

No, because it has actual gameplay elements, like quicktimes and such.

I think it comes pretty close but the presentation and style seem somewhat different from traditional VN.

So I've been playing some Kira Kira recently.

It's pretty damn good, the soundtrack's amazing, the characters are interesting, etc, etc.

But man. Murakami is pretty selfish.

Leave some for the rest of us, man.

Tsukihime is pretty good. First VN I read through, did all arcs too. The Far Side of the Moon arcs are pretty awesome, you can skip the others without missing anything.

Been sitting on the idea of playing through Fate/Stay for a while now. Just don't have the motivation.

I gotta say, I like this little music thingy a lot, even though it's not really from Umineko (if anything it's a bastard child of Umineko and one of Higurashi's songs)

I mean yeah it's only a musicbox version of another song but it's kind of endearing in a way. Maybe because the song has some meaning after I watched Higurashi no naku koro ni Kai.
