Duolingo is a fairly new website focused on the collaboration and shared knowledge of different people around the world, allowing them to learn a language while at the same time translating text in to their native language; creating a circle of helpfulness wherein you learn while teaching others, and while teaching you learn from others.

There isn't much information on it at the moment, but as far as I can tell it seems like quite an amazing idea; one that I'm certainly going to be keeping an eye on. For more information and a much better description, watch the video below.

As it is a private beta and the amount of users is currently limited, you can still enter your email and wait for an invite, that's what I'm doing. Hopefully you guys find this interesting; I'm sure you'd be intrigued in the prospect of what people really mean when they say jajajajjajajaa.

I agree, but as it is only a beta, and I believe not too well-known, it's probably going to open up a great deal when (hopefully) its user base increases.

This is such a good idea, what else is there to say? Translating web articles while learning a language at the same time? I may become multilingual from something like this.

Interesting. I've wanted to learn German for quite some time now, since I'm thinking of moving there when I get older.

    Might pick it up.

And you decided it would be mandarin? Asian languages are notoriously hard, mandarin is the king.

You are not the only one, a final translation would be made from combining several translations not just one.

But yeah signed up for German and I hope they add more languages.
