After surviving for 3 - 4 weeks, the game just couldn't save anymore. It started to stutter, and now it's looking for "50_50map_con_1778.bin"

And it only goes up to 299 :(

It was a great time on the stream with you guys, until the save corruption brought us down.

data is just really lazy and probably has a life.

if he was one of the worst devs ever cortex command would be shit. but cortex command is one of the best games i've ever played.

and data totally squandered the money he got as well.

i remember a blog post that said they were going to a shooting range using our money. pretty much just for the fuck of it.

in reply to timescale, if that is the original code, probably measured 60 in seconds times 24 which would make it 24 minutes to equal a full day but to me that doesn't sound like it usually is

    Edited:

so to say if you wanted to make the days twice as long you'd change 24 to 48 probably

The problem is not what number, the problem is the code itself, it doesn't work. I guess it needs something more.

okay so i started the latest build's (K?) .jar, set my settings and pressed download.

now it's just sitting there, the download button greyed out and a progress bar.

i've been waiting a while and it's still at 0%. any known fixes?

he doesn't, he's consistently made good choices. the only problem really is that he's like you said an ok guy and he's less punctual than valve

Is there a way to save and quit? My character turned into a zombie while he was sleeping. I thought it would be cool to save and quit, make a new character then go find his corpse.

I had to minimize and force close though.

You close the window. It auto-saves every 2 seconds + I think it saves when you click X

    Seamless? It was never seamless...?

On that note, I hope they do it seamless, maybe precache it at least so it would load almost instantly, I mean if you're at 50 tiles till edge and 150 till all other edges, it's safe to say Im gonna go to the closest one.

They should definitely make it render in real time like TES, GTA and other open world games. Loading screens are massive immersion breakers.

Lemmy said that zombies migrate south, to our town, from a bigger city up north, the one that the top road leads to, which everyone uses for farm house. So I guess farm house is like in-between town and that city.

Couple that with randomly(?) generated cells/buildings that I think they are planning and you've got a real city to survive in, with probably thousands more zombies in it than current one.

On a bright side, more water and food!

Wow, this game is so sad.

Just got it. Place I spawned in started to get overrun when I left the stove on for too long and the alarm attracted the horde. I had to give them the runaround inside the building and just slip past them, sprinting away and running into the only place nearby without a lock. Granted, it didn't have a door. I slept there the night and then woke up, going looking for a hammer and food so I could fortify my new place. Can't get back before nightfall so I crash somewhere else. The next morning when I go out, I come back to the latest place to find someone's gone inside and locked the door.

I find yet another place to stay but after a day of hiding out I slip up. I see a survivor outside and linger at the window. At least a dozen zombies start shambling toward my door and I run up the stairs and hide in the bedroom, waiting. I get tired of being terrified and powerless, so I fill my stomach with sleeping pills until the horde comes and rips me apart in my sleep.

    3 days, 20 hours.

More zombies in buildings. We shoulda done this when we added more buildings. :)
Tweaked zombie migration rate up slightly.
Added workaround error trapping around saving containers with something faulty in them, to cause the world cut in half bug. This will still happen but should now just not load the contents of faulty container.
Some other critical fixes don't want to list until they are confirmed fixed.
Added ways of getting Strength XP. Whoops.
Stage 1 in UI nicefication. Quick 'put in container' / 'put in inventory' hover buttons for inventory items in containers.

Really 2.0L was JUST released.... Lol

And Fenris. Edit the Bat to read the location of Java.

Go to PZ folder find the bat you use. Right click, edit at the top will be the default, replace with either of them and make sure Java7 is installed.

    set path=%path%;%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre7\bin;
    "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre7\bin\java"

If using the other bit version.
    Or

    set path=%path%;%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre7\bin;
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre7\bin\java"

We're doing a complete revamp of the UI system soonish, so its largely pointless making anything but quick changes until that happens.
