Fly cheap frigates if you can't afford them. They make great pvp ships.
Flying shitty frigates in 0.0 Fleet battles is definitely the way to go.

Goddamn pos password wouldn't let me in. Logistics were doing an amazing job keeping me alive, but wasn't enough. Got away with my pod though.

Also holy fuck pos repping is boring.

Hurricane and stabber are arguably the best solo pvp ships, working together that looks like a pretty easy kill.

So I was watching my newb friend play over his shoulder. He's like... a week old on a trial account and wound up in Pinked (rando null alliance) and in pos bash fleet. I was making fun of their fleet comp (mixed battlecruisers, 3 megas, and a moros shooting a small tower), when lo and behold, in fleet chat I see Commander Kennedy.

    META

    PS. They got hot dropped.

I love mine too. I have it fitted solely for speed, I don't use it for combat at all. Just running around at 3500m/s screaming 'POOWWWAARRR'. I also use it to make 20j trips to and from my headquarters and the corp wormhole, and to set safespots for shit like launching scan probes and staging on the hisec side of a lowsec system when I'm on corp-wide fleet pvp.

The way it's fit pretty much anything could instapop it. But it's just so damn fast I don't care, and I don't go near combat situations with it anyway. So unless someone wants to suicide gank a frigate with an empty hold in Jita it's not in any danger.

    So much fun.

The application of bonuses that modify shield capacity have been modified in the following way: When the shield capacity is modified for any reason, the shield charge percentage will be maintained after the modification. This is primarily aimed at improving the experience of shield fleets when jumping. If your fleet booster’s bonus is applied whilst your ship is at 100% shields your shields will still be at 100% after the bonus is applied. When boarding a ship in space you will also benefit from this, so if it had full shields before you boarded it, it will have full shields once all skills have been applied. Capacitor charge will also be treated in the same way when capacitor capacity is modified.

Why are they buffing/changing assault ships?

I haven't really heard anyone complain about them.

Like the retribution with its one mid.

That one flaw made it useless. It was tackle or speed. And you needed both.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover I could fly a decent Drake without any long training times. That time spent missioning in a Caracal paid off.

The only time I really ever saw assault ships is when people were trying to ghetto ceptor them in wormholes or kite harpy.

They did need the buff, will be interesting to see how they are used though.
