The lighting is quite nice in your photos, and with manual focus only you've done a good job. I'm not quite sure about the focus on run boy, if it could be better with the focus on him or the foreground. I don't feel that many of your subjects are very interesting, example the rock, flower thing and chain fence. The green contrasting the ground is nice, murk has a great colour and feel to it but it could be much more with a subject. The photos with people in them feel somewhat cramped and don't register much in terms of scale if that makes sense? You've cut a few of the branches of the large tree photo of as well with too tight of framing as well so always keep this in mind. Sunset field and January sunset are very nice shots. Hope that's useful.
Thanks for the critique! I agree with the subjects not being particularly interesting. This group of photos were all taken within about a 2 hour time span. It was a spur of the moment decision because of the weather in Michigan being surprisingly nice today when I woke up. I'll remember to leave some more open space next time I go out and take more.
why have a watermark they make you look like a pretentious twat
and why use manual focus
just use af
it's more accurate
This was the first time I was using Adobe Lightroom, which includes an option to set up custom watermarks and logos. It was more of a "exploring" experience of the program for me.
As for using manual focus, I like having the ability to use the focus ring myself. Auto focus isn't always more accurate.
