A new one? Must be a shit shock absorber. :v
no it wasn't a new one, I took it off some rather banged up corsa, but my autoclass teacher said you were supposed to be able to do that and it worked perfectly fine...
I was like... waaaaat.
Hehe.. If he were selling the car, he'd be quite the salesman!
Yeeee got my car back from the mechanic
Feels good to drive a car that can spin the tires/achieve understeer/torque steer/loosen up at 30 on wet pavement.
Driving that honda was hell. 0-60 in ~15 seconds, have to get the rpms up to 3k to get any speed, and once you do get to 3k or higher it sounds like its going to explode.
So that's what Robbaz looks like
So looking at a 2002 bmw 330i sedan fully loaded with 128k for $7k and could possibly get it for 6-6.5k cause i know the owner of the dealership. A bit excited.

I hate skeezy car salesmen. My brother has been looking for a car for a few days (i've mentioned stuff he has been 'about' to buy and then it falls through), but last night he saw a 2002 honda civic EX coupe for $3600(far under book value), and this guy and his friend were saying everything was good on it and they had a mechanic check it out and say it was all good. My brother had called them at like 6 or 7pm, and they instantly were trying to bring the car over and maybe sell it that night, so we let them bring it over. Once they got here, it looked pretty nice from the outside and everything. So the dude took us for a test drive and immediately after we set off and he changed into second, the transmission/clutch made a buzzing grinding sound, and my brother asked what it was. The guy responded with 'oh it's just because i changed gears a little too early.' So immediately i was thinking, 'Ok fuck this guy', because i'm pretty sure that changing gears 'too early' (the gear change was fine) doesn't make your transmission buzz and grind. He knew my brother didn't know anything about driving manual, so he was just trying to rip him off.
I drove it for about 20 seconds and was already done with it, because i have a 2004 civic lx that is in perfect nick, and had a pretty good idea of what the car should drive and feel like. Every time i pulled my brother to the side to talk to him away from these two guys (they owned their own small dealership apparently, that's how you know their skeezy), the skeezier of the two guys would walk over near us by the car and pretend to be doing something to eavesdrop on us. All i had to tell my brother was there is no way i would get that car based on what i had seen.
The things that were really sketchy on the car to me were as follows:
Under the hood/bonnet, there was a lovely short ram intake that was held on with duct tape, but not well enough to actually hold it all of the way on. So it was effectively useless. There was also an aftermarket white 'vtec' cover on the engine that was all torn up with tool marks, which kind of made me feel like it wasn't even a EX at all, because it was also on steel wheels. I don't know enough about hondas to know where the engine model is stamped on the block, so i couldn't really look.
So basically, i hate motherfuckers that come to your house and try to sell you a piece of shit car, and tell you it's flawless.
I love seeing what /o/ comes up with.

I used to have loads of them, but lost them now
Sounds like he drives around everywhere short-shifting without even touching the clutch, oh dear. *KRKRKRKRKRKRKR* *Bang* Bits of layshaft and transmission casing all over the road.
I want it

$10,300
I need you guys help :( I have to decide between a 02 330i or a 01 325ci . Same price 7k but I could prob get the 325ci lower. Same mileage. The 330i is a sedan and is completely stock while the 325ci has some light modding to it(angel eyes, exhaust, taillights, wheels, etc.) the 325ci is also black which is what I want(the 330i is silver not a big fan of silver) and it's a coupe which is what I also originally want. Im starting to lean towards to 325ci as you can see but someone said they are slow but I feel if I mod it some more it won't be that bad. What do you guys think?
so a good shock absorber doesn't absorb any shocks?
All right you fags won, I really want my next car to be a manual. Even if that means getting a stick with a 305.
Speaking of

ok whats wrong with it. ill give a call tomorrow and see
And then you find out it has over 500 thousand miles![]()
and holy shit I'm reading about the third gen camaros and why did they so much more power than the firebirds?
in 1991, a camaro 305 had 230hp and 300lbs of torque. yet a 1991 firebird 305 had around 170-180hp?
Both models have the same engine and drive-train I think. I wouldn't consider any 3 series BMW to be "slow". They aren't race cars but they're responsive and powerful enough to keep you a pretty happy driver. I love my dad's 08' 328xi... not necessarily the same thing but still. I'd test drive them both and see which one you like most. I'd probably go with the 325ci though since you like the color and the performance between both models is probably negligible.
I would go for the 325ci for the mere fact that a paint job can be pretty expensive for a quality one. And since that one is already of the color you like...
I really need to save money for things like this. http://www.autotrader.com/ATCarID/AT...LNX=SOCDIGGVDP
I love RX-7's...
The last two numbers in the model name are the engine size, so the 330i has a 3 litre engine and the 325ci has a 2.5 litre engine.
tehee ~
loving that little vw lupo
I actually didn't notice that... that makes a lot of sense thanks lol.
All the letters on bimmers and mercs mean stuff too. All I remember is the i in BMW names is fuel injected (obviously) and the k in Mercedes names means supercharged. :v
My dad's 540i has the 4.4l, not every BMW have the YXX where the XX means the engine size, I remember being wrong some times when I used to think that XX meant the engine size, note that in most of the case it is. And not that my dad's car is just an example I used. It is also explained in the wiki link bellow.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bmw#BMW_nomenclature pretty neat.
well the camaro ad was a bust since the phone was answered with "hola" and "no habla inglese" and my two years of sleeping in spanish didn't help
such is life in florida
all you had to do was fucking say "camaro!"
i did but he just kept saying no habla ingles
Best insurance ever...
Called Aros insurance today (One of the so-called Cheapest in denmark)
Wanted to ask them about a Corrado G60 insurance... but for fun i took my own car to see the price difference.
They wanted 40.000dkk for 1 year and this was only for the responsibility (the cheapest you can get)
That's the price i paid for my fucking car..
i even asked the call-girl if this was a joke..
She was fucking serious...
Denmark, What The Fuck...
El camaro es muy bueno, purchaso with el casho whereo you ato?
Edited:
Also, pretty sure they were both rated the same for the trim level.
And in England, for under 25's insurance is nearly always more than the car and thats for third party cover that doesn't even cover the car. Not uncommon for the insurance to be twice as much as the value as the car.
just sold those rally wheels whoop whoop
i speak fluent spanish if you need a question asked
I am wanting to get the exact same car, tell me how it goes. They usually didn't make the 5.7 and T5 Combo, so if you find one, you are kinda lucky.
:D :D :D
:D
Who wants to buy a turbo CRX?
I'd buy it
If i wasn't a poor-ass mother fucker.
Is it normal (healthy) for my honda engine to make an audible ticking(not knocking) noise that rises with revs? It's not that audible from inside the car, but you can definently hear it from outside. I tried taking a video/audio recording of it with my phone, but the sounds are completely inaccurate and exaggerated in the video.
I, personally, have not over revved it. It's made the sound since i got it. It kinda sounds like a diesel, I'm just assuming it's the valves because i don't know. Should i be concerned?
