On which connections are you running your second screen? the 6850 only has one DVI-I slot, one DVI-D, one HDMI and one (mini)displayport. My bet is that you plugged a VGA monitor with a converter in on a DVI-D slot. DVI-I supports both analogue and digital signal, DVI-D does not.

The CPU is 41-43 celsius on idle according to ASRock-software, with CPU-ratio jumping between 16.0x - 40.0x

And what voltage? If I remember right, there are a lot of Voltage-configs in BIOS so I wouldn't know which one to touch and how much more voltage. (My PSU is something along the lines of Corsair Golden ATX 750w Modular)

Also I had Prime95 but ended up deleting it. But will definitely check out MSI Afterburner, and maybe Furmark.

As for HWMonitor; GPU appears to be 49celsius on idle, with 1500 RPM fan speed.

I'm using packet tracer to simulate setting up large networks, but OSPF is giving 1GB/s ethernet ports and 100MB/s ethernet ports the same priority, is this yet another bug in packet tracer or is there something you need to do with high bandwidth links?

I think I might have figured out my Battlefield 3 crashing problem. I installed the 290.53 drivers for my 560 ti and it seemed to have fixed the problem since I was playing for much longer than usual. However, after a long while, it crashed again. I quickly checked the temps on the card and they were fine, like 35 and lower. However, my cpu was at 60. Could this be causing the problem? My 2500k is defaulted to use turbo mode to set it at 3.6ghz, so would turning that off fix it? Or should I get more fans for my case?

Even taking Jpg into account I am getting lots of banding here, this particular laptop doesn't seem to have noticeable banding in general.

What is that?

It's QUBE, I have a horrible ACER monitor and I'm trying to figure out if it's my monitor (I hope so) or just certain games that do that.

There is, but each step is a single digit difference. Meaning I don't blame the image. Each step is one level of luminance difference. I checked in photoshop.

hwmonitor is an extremely minimalistic and great one, it also monitors voltages which is useful to check for vdroop

Because the brightest part of the scene is only like 45. So your eyes adapt to seeing the differences. Every image you see you your screen is going to be at max 8bit depth per pixel.

30 fps and full-size, don't need to mess with anything else

personally, if the video doesn't need any editing I run it through easy h.264 with the Brassemense preset and upload straight to YouTube

if it needs to be edited, render out of Vegas with the uncompressed template with the correct framerate and resolution settings applied and then run it through easy h.264; you also want to disable resampling (right click the video, Switches > Disable Resample)

I know brt uses megui

Use to, I use command line now in a batch script. Also the disable resample shouldn't need to be used if the framerates match. If you happen to not have the FPS match, and disable resample the video might not be as smooth as it could.

Not sure which is which, but my main monitor is on the top one, and the secondary one is a VGA, but I'm using an adapter to DVI. Is there anything I can do?

I have a huge problem here.

My GTX 470 is being a fuck and locking up all the time, showing the "Entering Power Save" shit on my monitor, the problems that all 470s have. I've tried every driver release nVidia has with no luck.

Does anyone have any solutions to this problem?
