I've tried out firefox for awhile now but I just love Chrome to much to stop using it. But it seems that I didn't properly uninstall it and I get an "The installer encountered error 3" message upon trying to install. All the help and support on their site hasn't helped me at all, and I can't seem to find a trace of Google Chrome on any of my hard drives. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Also, I'm sorry if this should go in an other section. But this seemed to be more fitting then technical support.

Check the registry. Press winkey + R to open the run dialog and type regedit to open the registry explorer. Check the directories HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Google and HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Google. Delete any chrome folders and retry

Verify that your application data folders (Appdata/Local & LocalLow) don't have any remains of Chrome in there either, in addition to checking the registry.
