    The negatives of cloning:
What if you are weak to a X cancer or disease? That clone would be the same state of danger of dying
Clones would be easily be manupilated.
Something can go wrong in the early stages of the clone.

We should make extremely stupid yet strong clones that are genetically engineered to labor and toil for us. We can outfit they with cybernetics when we gain the technology. If we design them to to extremely dumb, they wouldn't even realize their plight, so it will be justifiable.

Congratulations, you just unwittingly brought up one of the main pillars of Brave New World.

    Cloning =/= accelerated growth.

Right now if we were to clone someone, they would be born as a baby and have to go to school and mature and basically live a whole new life. I.e. it's no different from finding a girl and making a baby together.

You can't just copy-paste a man and expect him to be a perfect duplica to a molecule. If we had the technology to do so (universal constructors, nanobots, massively parallel atomic scale 3d printing, etc etc) then it would be much easier to make robots for specific labor and print individual organs when a specific organ with specific properties is needed.

I think it'd be cool to clone myself, then have arguments with it, haha.

If I may be a bit unsrs, it would be fucking awesome to play games with myself. Or kill myself. Or punch myself. Or touch myself. Oh god the possibilities

    Hmm.

Along the lines of a a clone replacing me, I must say that if a clone of me, claimed to be the original me, I don't know what I would do. I mean, since there would be an age gap, it might be fine. But if there was a rapid aging process involved until adulthood, then I don't know how I'd combat that. Whom would authorities believe?

In my opinion, there should be nothing wrong with cloning humans. The wrong part was the cloning in itself, but as soon as X company or research lab cloned the first mouse/sheep/whatever then cloning a human is not a big step, it's the same thing but applied to other species.

How much would it cost to create a female clone of myself?

I honestly don't mind clones, however I've noticed how that the human mind will attempt to do evil things first such as put them into labor camps or turn them into some organ harvesting farm or turn them into military soldiers. honestly If human cloning comes to pass, I wish they have been given a life just like we had, a human life to where they can do anything, have a job, have a social or non-social life, raise a family, original human life.

Twins are basicslly clones, they will not have the same personality, it all depends on environment and hown they get raised.

If you clone someone, they would be very human. You say that what makes a person is experiencing life outside of a test tube. Guess what, if someone was cloned, they would have that. I think that, if done properly, it would make an EXACT copy. Meaning same memories. Even if nothing inside the brain was copied, would you still treat them differently? It would just be like raising a baby.

People could be cloned so that may have exact matches for organ transplants, who's a better a donor to yourself other than yourself? Of course, if we could transfer consciousness to clones, we could theoretically live forever.

Could I transplant my brain to an exact duplicate of body? Would it be like moving a hard drive to identical hardware?

Has anyone thought of what would happen if your identical twin decided to commit a crime? You would be framed.
even though they are an identical twin, the finger prints are differnt, so if any finger prinst are picked up, you wouldnt be able to be charged, if there are no finger prints on the other hand, then yeh, you could be framed

I think we'll inevitably come across cloning at some point or another. However to be honest, I think people won't do it simply because the moral question attached. i just feel like it'll scare some people away.
