Oh shit I think I found two villages spawned together. Twice the farms, two blacksmiths, two NPC libraries (Homes with bookshelves in them and a crafting bench), and two grand houses.

How do you sprint/fly in creative? There are no options for it in the control menu.

sprint is the same as survival, douple tap W, fly is double tap jump. When flying jump goes up, sneak goes down.

It seems I need to merge the new minecraft.jar with an existing minecraft installation, but I cannot install that Minecraft without having a "premium account?"

Just got an enderman to drop an enderpearl.
Also, apparently if you look at an enderman for too long, it crashes the game.

Tried to craft the enderpearl and it crashed. Restarted the game and the pearl was gone.
I think I'm fucked.

Fuck, I have a server running on my Linux box right now. too Oh well.
I liked the Minecraft "Classic" they had on the minecraft.net that you could download for free, but when I played the full version of Minecraft (one of those free weekend things) I absolutly hated how you had to spend hours collecting stupid blocks just to build anything only to loose them all in a server crash. I guess they've introduced this in the 1.8 beta with that "Creative" mode, but now it costs over $20.00?
