I love the M60 lol, M60A3 is nice and durable and the M60A1 is durable enough and has a good gun. If you don't like it though I'd recommend the MBT-70.

mbt70
Thanks mates, I usually just have a bunch of M60s and a few Abrams supporting along with AA and supply.
fack yiss
abrams
supporting
ITS THE HEAVY TANK ITS SUPPOSED TO TAKE THE SHOTS FUCK
I like using the Leopard 2. It is as tough as nails, and if you give the crewmen some veterancy, will give you a lot of bang for your buck.
so wait, there is a campaign in the release, right? or at least a skirmish mode?
Well there is a Singleplayer button greyed out, so I assume yes.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOO
ranks reset
I see a Slaanesh avatar, dick avatar, and a pony avatar. That's some nice friends you got there.
How easy is this game to get into? My RTS playing just goes as far as CoH and Starcraft I & II
I wonder how much splash damage Buks have now with that HE pow 10....
Edited:
It's pretty simple to pick up, not a lot of micro, it's more a broad strokes kind of game.
Is this game worth buying? I liked both Ruse and Wic.
then buy the shit out of it because it's a combination of those two games.
it's Ruse if Ruse was WiC without unblockable bitchslap Tactical Aid and semi realistic engagement ranges.
Oh shit I completely forgot this came out today and it looks pretty damn awesome.
Is this something I should get? I wasn't a huge fan of men of war's play style but I love total war and lots of other rts's.
Although I never did try out Ruse...
The engagement distances would be fine if what looks like 300 meters was considered 1km.
Lol damnit maybe I should read the above few posts. I think I'm gonna go get this and pre-order some Mass Effect and shogun 2 this weekend
We like to call it [RCP]. retarded cunt patrol.
MBT-70s and M60 Starships are abnormally durable.
The real question is if it can actually replace Chieftain? I find the Chieftain more as my MBT for NATO.
I've been using a combination of KPZ-70s and Sheridans as my primary armor force. Heavy tanks taking the shots while the Sheridans launch tons of ATGMs at the soviet armor.
So... can you still only go against AI in a 1v1?
I've decided to buy it, it'll take 3 days 'till paypal lets go of my money that's stashed in it's virtual bank right next door though.
Why does money transfer have to be sooooo tedious. (Anyone got any experience using paysafecards with steam? I think I might start using those since it's just pick up a card and enter it in steam, none of that wait period bullshit)
I do, they work brilliantly, so convinient.
I've been paying with those for a year now, I think.

Also is it just me or did the ranks reset?
Holy fuck the Airport singleplayer level is frustrating. Slowly get everything instakilled as the enemy shits out T-72s and one infantry squad in a building shuts down everything I send at it, including artillery and fire-ground helicopters.
I dont get it still. I know this has been posted before, but is this game more like WIC then RUSE
I loved WiC but I never really got into Ruse...
It's... like.... watch some youtube videos, it's not that hard to judge it by yourself then!
It plays like WiC with huge amount of units, but it also plays like RUSE without building crap.
has anyone ever had a bug where the unit icon is in the wrong place? it seemed to happen to me aften my units got into a roadblock moving though a town, once it happened it was almost unplayable as units were not grouped anymore and finding half of them to resupply them was impossible
Just bought it, not been following this hugely but I'll take a dive.
Any things I should avoid doing?
Dont spam tanks, it never works. You need a combined force. Also try not to have your tanks in groups of 4 all the time, makes them more vulnerable to AOE weapons like artillery.
And you really shouldn't be buying any sort of tank or tank destroyer type vehicle without veterancy.
How well would mechanized infantry and arty work? As a kinda mobile defensive line.
I'm still not sure if this game is something for me and my friend. I'm used to playing very micro dependant games, like Men of War and Company of Heroes, and then again, mostly in singleplayer. I would love to get good at MP in this game, because it simply looks awesome.
So how is the singleplayer campaign so far? And do anybody have a link to a review of the game?
Is this supposed to happen? I played 2 games and I'm still level 1!

You don't have enough XP to level up, it's on the right side of your screen under the level indicator.
I know but last game I got about 169 XP and I need 100 XP to level up. Doesn't really add up.
FFFFFFFFFFU......
Well, my computer won't start up because GTA 4 caused a bluescreen with no text that force restarted my computer, and fucked up one of my hard drives. Now I can't even get to login.
Why did it have to be this one day?
It gets even worse in the Polish oil refinery mission as the enemy seems to get free UH-1 gunships with an infinite fuel script.
Playing the campaign is a really easy way to unlock lots of points, its not particularly fast though.
Well yeah, infantry can only be bought in APCs/IFVs/helicopters. But its pretty much a requirement on any map with urban or forest areas, or even hills (hint: all of them) to have some infantry. Infantry in cover can annihilate tanks at close range.
Chasseurs FAMAS are easily the best infantry in the game, points vs stats.
Are there any advantages to a squad with rifles? I wouldn't think they'd perform as well as a squad with assault rifles.
