Have I mentioned how fucking incredible Logitech Support is? A warranty replacement G27 just turned up to replace my out of warranty G25 - all for free, and I don't have to ship back the G25. Awesome support.

Now, if I read the minecraft code right, then I know why the FPS is terrible

Unless I missed something, hes rendering every cube individually, just hiding non-seen stuff

Has he heard about merging surfaces? :gonk:

I forgot to mention that I went to see what was wrong with a relative's PC (the PSU had exploded) and noticed that whoever built it not only used shit components (200W generic PSU? really?) but used hot glue on the sata connections

You should salvage the fan and fan controller if possible. I'm using 2 PSU fans and 1 controller (A 1x2cm chip with a heat sensor on it, takes 12v and outputs between 0v and 12v depending on the heat) to cool my pc..

Don't forget to overclock your hard drive too by upping the voltage! That's a sure way to make everything faster. 12V should do it

No, blow water so it washes your components so they clean

If there's no current going through the computer, that's a good solution

You can wash a whole PC in water.

I blew on my processors heatsink with a straw while it was off, turned it back on and lowered the temperature by about 10 degrees Celsius.

I'll have to try removing it and giving it a thorough cleaning some time.

Distilled water. And even then it would be tricky.

In theory you could do it. In practice, I wouldn't.

When water dries it can leave particles of conductive material bridging connections and cause a shit load of problems. The water evaporates, but the heavy shit in the water doesn't.

Just get a pressure washer, don't use any water and blow at it from a good distance. Most if not all the stuff stuck to the board should fly off.

Semi content to ease off the titles.

I was in Local Networks class, Basically setting up small networks with Virtual Box and Packet Tracer. There was one guy next to me that told the teacher that his virtual Windows Server had crashed and that he could not do the assignment. Now, This was probably the 5'th time this had happened during the 2 months we had used Virtual Box. So the teacher asks him what the hell he keeps doing to the program.
He says he have no idea, That he only shut down the program like he normally did. Not being able to do much more, The teacher left the guy to re-install his stuff.

When the class was over and people was turning off the laptops, He saw the student. While having the virtual machine running, He held down the powerbutton until the laptop shut of. The Teacher asked him what he was doing and if the laptop had crashed or something

His reply was "This is how you turn off the computer, Don't you know that"

Apparently that was how he turned off all his PC's and that was how he had done it for a long time

Turning off a virtual machine is done just like turning off a regular laptop, namely holding down the power button.

Windows hates forced shutdowns like that.
Namely, it fucks up the filesystem (or at least the files in question) if there's delayed writes going on while shutting down.
And there we have our answer :3:

So I just bought a mouse and guess what happened.
They basically made it so this mouse releases a click if it's been held down for more than 3 seconds.
I know it isn't my specific computer, as I've tried it on about 6 other various desktops and laptops.

I have to go explain this to the little computer hardware shop I bought it from. It sucks ass as I'll be asking for a $25 refund from a small business that probably needs that money.

    Edited:

I do it all the time, I hate waiting for windows to shut down because Steam is still running. Go ahead and think I'm content, but I've had 0 problems, and if I did I'd know how to fix it.
