Hey, I'm wanting to start working out, trimming a bit of flab and gaining some muscle, but the thing is, I don't have any motivation. I weigh 146-Lbs, which for a 16 year old isn't really much, but most likely none of it is muscle. I mean, I'm not fat or chubby by any means, just have a bit of overhang that I'd like to get rid of. I'm pretty self conscious which probably stems from me being shy around ladies (but that's for another place on FP) or that I have KP (http://www.keratosispilaris.org/). I've been meaning to get one of those pull/chin up things that you put on a doorway, but I'm not sure if they cause any frame damage, and we are renting an apartment, so I don't want that to happen.
So, What's a way to get me motivated, or a pretty cheap way to exercise? I like doing Chin ups since I enjoy hanging from things, and it makes me feel less fatigued while doing whatever it is that I'm doing it. But the way I mentally work is that I don't feel like running unless I'm in danger, and I don't like my face being near the ground so I end up abandoning push ups and stuff. I've already completed my required high school Gym class, and won't do weight lifting since I don't want to be embarrassed that others can lift way more than me, but I will do that in the comfort of my own home.
