Host it on your own computer using Apache or something like that - but if you didn't already know that, you probably haven't even got an index page and you are expecting some sort of intuitive in-browser page editor, in that case, head over to piczo. That's where most twelve year olds 'make' their VERY OWN website that even has POPUP MESSAGES.

With those kinds of internet skills, I'm afraid what your site would end up like.

I was being mean by calling out a completely useless 'perk' that a hosting company flaunts like it'll make your website faster?

My country is using 20% wind energy, and it's heading towards 60% by 2012

    Doesn't make us any better.

    Also, @OP
    http://www.000webhost.com/ is fine

It's perfectly fine. I get a 4Mbit off there, they offer lots of space and a cpanel. I also know that they have a fair good uptime.

What more could OP want when it's free?

You're as useful right now as a bucket of water on a rainy day.

00webhost is fine, freeweb is beginner friendly, and wamp will allow you, OP, to host one from your own computer.

It was more the fact that he though we were respectable.
And, if you're making a website, you think you would know that you can host something from your own computer?

And who, if I may ask, are "we"? JWJ is respectable for all the work we've done for brohoster and even competitors.

And anyone with the interrest in webhosting could had guessed that hosting from an ordinary desktop computer was a possibility.

OP sounds like a typical 12 year old that is trying to host a shitty forum with skins ripped from other sites for his 1337 three man clan

000webhost is terrible. When it's not down, they're verifying your files.

It's a free host. What do you expect? Lots of spam/child porn/illegal shit is uploaded to free hosts.

Now, if the "verifying files" actually interrupts service, then yes that would be a problem. But if they just verify them in the background and service is not affected then big deal.

I'll give you a user on my server with a whopping 512 bytes of space for your website and a subdomain (i.am.a.huge.idiot.for.using.this.damn.thing.serio usly.i.am.an.idiot.nikomo.eu).

Do you actually have a proper website that you've made? I suppose you could homehost the site on an old computer.
