I found this MP5 on this site: http://www.airgundepot.com/hk-mp5-k-pdw-bb-gun.html

It's a semi-automatic rifle. How would I convert this to full auto? I know lethal weapons you just file down the catch and it'll keep shooting, not sure if the same goes with airsoft.

It's a gas weapon, I don't think it's possible. Just find one with full-auto already.

    Those are hundreds of dollars.

How about that? Cheaper than I thought...

Well, actually, the first one is $100. But go to AirsoftGi, and look up the Galaxy MP5k, there's three of them, a normal one, a PDW like the one you posted, and one with rails for $40 more. But the first two are $100, $90 with the "Tim" coupon. And apparently pretty good as well.

  7. Post #7
I'll check that one out, thanks. Is the CYMA one I posted worth the money? Looks pretty nice to me. I watched a YouTube video on that gun and it looks decent.

And that CYMA is $40 for a reason.

    What's the reason?

What's the issue with the $40 weapon I posted above?

It's not going to last. If it costs 40 dollars, maybe ten went into making it. Probably less. In other words, it's kinda shitty.

  14. Post #14
Gotcha. Well I obviously don't know jack shit about this so what do you recommend? AEG turns up $40 dollar weapons, and $300 dollar weapons.

If you want an MP5, you can go Galaxy for real budget, CA for a pretty damn nice one, or TM High Cycle if you just want to kill the shit out of people. All depends on your budget: in airsoft the axiom is more true than many other places: you get what you pay for, in terms of performance and reliability.

It's plastic, but it is quite a solid gun as far as I know.

What can I get for around $100 or less that's metal and tournament friendly?

The gun asked about in the OP isn't even airsoft, it's a BB gun. I don't think it would be legal for one of those to be full auto.

    Nothing really, AFAIK.

The closest would probably be a CYMA AK-74U, which is full metal and has real wood handgaurds. Its a submachine gun of course, so its not too great for open area play, but its in your price range:
    http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=3110

Personally, I would say that you should wait until you can expand your budget a bit. Believe me, you WILL NOT regret it in the long run.

    Edited:

And its a perfectly good plinking gun if that's what you're after.

Yeah, this sort of confused me too. Are you looking for a .177 caliber BB gun OP? Or an airsoft gun?

A full sized MP5 airsoft gun, fully automatic and metal, or heavy plastic.

this is a Classic army sportline gun, its made for people just starting out so its relatively cheap considering how much stuff goes for. I'm not sure on how the gun itself is someone else will have to clear that up for me but i do know that classic army is a really good company for mid-range AEG's quite alot of my friends swear by them. It has a full metal body as asked for, it is fully automatic AND it is full sized.

Yeah, that's the one I was referring to, it's solid plastic, just don't bang it up on stuff. Comes with two mags and a battery, just get a smart charger, goggles, and a mag or two, and you're good to go.

It's quite simple to convert a gun from semi auto to full auto. Best part, is that you don't need any upgrades!

Ok, so what you do is this:

    Set on Semi-Auto.

    Pull trigger really, really fast.

    Repeat until magazine empty.

    Reload.

    Rinse.

    Repeat.

    Anyway.
MOSFETs for AEGs would work with GBBRs, right?

I don't think so. MOSFETs are purely for AEG's I believe. Gas and electricity don't mix too well together. Ask San Bruno, California.
