I have Sony Vegas 9 pro, which has a colour correction feature which i could use, but i'm never sure if I'm doing it correctly. Am i supposed to match the colour of the scene? EG If it's in a desert make it slightly orange/yellow?

Also after a while of messing about with the colours i start to forget what looks normal so i don't know if I'm over-doing it or not.

    Any tips?

Here's one from a WIP, is it any good?

I really wasn't sure what to do with this scene, so i made it kinda blue to match the sky.

Also yes, I am British, i spell it 'Colour'. And sorry if this is in the wrong section but I'm sure other people could get help and advice from this thread too.

    Edited:

Actually looking at it now that's ALOT of blue.

Yeah that is alot of blue, just try messing around with your own settings until the colour compliments the scene.

Well, one thing that is very important is bloom.

Actually, it's technically not bloom, but a very subtle glow helps to wash off the "video game engine" feeling.

The secret behind color correction is to make people forget what you filmed your stuff with
