It wasn't that scary for me, especially once I got the magnum. Instead of getting scared I was sitting there going "Woah, that's awesome" (like at the mannequin part)
In fact, not even Penumbra scared me :[

I don't know if this is an easter egg but:
when you reach Romero's lab, there's this green/black screen near some equipment that has an incomplete message written on it. If you use it, it switches to the first entry (AKA diary entry) page, there is a total of 9 pages and it tells the background story of Romero and how the hospital got abandoned all of a sudden.

It's kind of cool that if you use reversed versions of Emily's story-specific lines they're actually hints and things.

Because nearly everyone reads that on their first playthough, it's so obvious people didn't consider it to be worth mentioning. It's not an easter egg.

I had the "DON'T TURN AROUND", when i was climbing a ladder. I had to walk backwards into the next corridor cause, i thought something would pop out at me.

And the static was creepy. Extra effectful was just before DON'T LOOK BEHIND YOU it said HELP ME HELP ME HELP ME :ohdear:

I should make a mod of the mod where i reverse all of Emily's dialog and then replay, and see how huge the effect is, as in how differently it makes you feel in the game.

Since this thread isn't getting any posts about easter eggs, i'd like to mention that the "lost files" of NH2 are out. They include beta maps which are awesome.

Those "hamburger meat faced nurses" are actually just the nurses that used to work at the hostpital, but died along with it
To find the creepy mannequin, go look in the material files of the game.
