Just want to know how i did with posing my first ragdoll. The fingers are crap because the fingerposer doesn't work right with the model.

Well it's a lot better than my first time pose.
The posing is actually pretty decent.
Don't worry about your fingerposer, it's how the model is rigged.
Now you just need to put all your graphics on max and make something that's actually interesting.
this is ok. just turn up you're AA and graphics a little bit...
haha max, not on this rig.
Just uncheck the "Restrict Axis" box of your finger poser and it should work just fine. But anyway posing is pretty good, picture isn't, just look at all of the other pics around you'll find out why. But you're starting pretty good, waiting for your first actual work pal!
Don't worry about graphics, just fix it up with AMAZING PHOTOSHOP!
No but really, pretty good for a first. Editing is not ever necessary. Posing and originality will always beat out graphics quality. Don't use GM_Construct for a map, pick something interesting, there are tons of maps out there.
We'll ill let you all know when I even learn photoshop.
For a first pose, that's actually quite good.
Here's one which i tried to pose a hydra. I just couldn't get the fist right.

Don't take several pictures of a pose, we already know what's happening.
We have new talents in our community of critical people :D
Posing is very good.
Now all you have to do is choose a map other than construct or flatgrass :P
Back in my day, we posed sticks on road sides.
^^ You have no idea how much that made me laugh.
Edited:
Your posing's alright, but like everyone else said, it'll get better as you do it more. Also don't worry about using Photoshop or anything like that since it's not really a key feature for taking screenshots.
Pretty good, but just before you take your picture, turn the graphics to max. It make it extremely slow, but all you need to do is left click and then you can change the graphics back.
also,quit using construct maps
download better maps or use css,hl2 or other game maps
Sorry to bother you guys again but i made a different pose and this time cranked the graphics up all the way it would let me.

It is your thread. You are not bothering anyone.
Is sort of the point to make threads and post stuff in them![]()
But i feel bad for bumping it with nothing really important
It is better to use one thread for your stuff than many until you get better at it.
Try using other models and more interesting maps. Always avoid construct and flat grass unless it is scene build.
Your poses are not that bad, just try to make them more interesting. The use of humor is a great way to avoiding dullness.
Posing's nice.
You could do well to turn your graphics up a bit more,
maybe enable AA if your compy lets you.
For a first-time pose, I'll tell you it's a lot better than I did.
Also, try not to use contruct for poses, it puts people off.
Edited:
Also, faceposing is your friend.
If you can't facepose something realistically,
just part the mouth a bit.
You're a very good poser for someone just starting out!
Always use faceposing in your pictures, even if it's a subtle change, it can make a world of difference.
If you're having a hard time with camera angles, I think "How would this look on a movie screen?". Think of the 'genre' you're going for, now if that genre applies to movies (such as horror, war, artsy), think of how your favorite director would have shot that particular scene.
With the camera tool, you REALLY want to back away from your pose and use right-click to zoom in, it takes out this horrid "perspective factor" I call it, that makes a picture look unprofessional and unfocused, almost fisheyed.
Don't be afraid to toy around with lighting and different maps at this stage of your development, the faster you progress, the better.
You need to improve your map choices, camera angles and faceposing before you move on to editing of any sort.
Ingame effects can be your friend, but it's generally good to stay away from them for now.
See, starting posing by taking criticism well and being friendly gets you a good karma and people tend to be kind with you.
You sir are an shining example that all the newcomers should lead.
I'll just approve everything Lebowski and Daily Bento said.
Bah I dont have photoshop to do blood and fancy muzzel flash. I just realized the marine wouldnt be bleeding in the first place.![]()
Your posing is good as usual, but now you need to work on your picture composition.
The map is ugly, doesn't particularly fit with the models you're using, your graphics are fugly again (they should always be at the highest possible when taking pictures).
You left FAR too much empty space.
If you want to edit in blood or muzzle flashes, use either paint.net or GIMP.
this
That's the opposite of what Kurit does, just to clear things out.
I have to say, thats a pretty good start.
Better than yours.
:buddy:
I got really lazy on that last one, nothing really nice about it in my eyes. I'm gonna work on something more amazing after i do my homework.
Yeah.
psst.
if you're having trouble with homework.
www.wolframalpha.com does complex math
Its just English and some easy astronomy.
I don't know if someone else said that before, but if you want to pose better you have to watch movies or read books. That way you'll learn about movements that human body does.
I read a lot anyways.
I seriously recommend high-action movies if you want to do some studying on how the human body moves under duress.
Nonsense. Get out and pick a fight. Then observe as you either kick ass or get your ass kicked:smug:
Sound advice
Ok so I, max settings, zoom on camera, different map.
