I don't get why she is wearing aviators and shouldn't the background look more like she is at a place where there is snow, aka a mountain?

Couldn't find any maps that had mountains and snow-covered land spots, and got lazy. Reason for aviators is simply "why not". You know, thoooose craaaazy kiiiids

People do use sun glasses on a mountain skiing trip. This is what this picture makes me think of.
So they fit in nicely.
