Hello Facepunch, I just registered not so long ago. The reason why that is because I felt I needed to tackle all there is to know about screenshots in gmod and whatnot. I like to take photographs in my spare time, but I just never find myself the time to. Mainly because the computer occupies most of my interest and motivation, sadly.

I want you, kind souls, to share every basic thing and every thing one should know to forge his own style. I read a few threads and I have a few questions:

    -What is stitching?
-How do I apply muzzle effects and the likes - and if they aren't default, where do I get them?
-Any particular site except for this one any of you recommend?
    -Any friendly advices?

Thank you for reading this :).

    1. Stitching is taking multiple in-game screen shots, and "stitching" them together in Photoshop or a similar program to make a larger picture.
    2. Muzzle flashes can be found on FPS_Banana, or you can edit them in.
    3. Friendly Advice: Take time to learn how to pose well, don't jump into editing right away.

BTW can I find any type of effects on FPS_Banana? Blood dust, blood splatter, tracer fire etc.?

Not sure. Blood splatter and muzzle flashes are the only ones I know of.

Ignore anyone who says "get GIMP". You shouldn't start editing until you have a decent understanding and skill in posing and camera angles.

In the mean time, use these to help you out with atmosphere and special effects without the need for editing:

    Thank you, much obliged.

I thought about getting the core done first, posing, angles etc.

Thank you once again, this was very helpful.
