Yes, I gathered some information on stitching and wanted to try it myself. Here's the result.
It isn't very wide, though, but it's my first![]()

Good stitch, but I get the feeling this was rushed. Some of the effects (For example the muzzleflash on the far left, along with the tracers) feel very rushed. So does some of the posing. (Guy leaning against wall to the far right.)
Good stitch, though.
Stitching? Looks like a normal sized picture to me.
I really dig the rocket launcher, but the smoke seems so 'not moving'-ish. The black bars might be too big as well, I think 40px is enough.
Otherwise, good job.
I really love the background to be honest. More than anything else on the picture. Don't think I've seen similar vectoresque stuff here before.
Thanks.
Oh. Maybe I made it too solid.
That actually depends on the pic theme and overall size.
Thanks.
My monitor is a microscopic 1280 x 1024 one. All the other guys here seem to have 3000 x 2000 scale plasma TVs.
What could I improve in the tracers? Or the muzzleflash?
Thanks.
The fog settings look bad! Also, try to make the effects blend more with the picture, the edges are too hard especially the muzzleflash from the terminator. Sometimes duplicating the layer and blurring it expands it outward and gives it more of a 'it should be there' feel, this can look a lot better when done manually but it's difficult to explain.
I get the feeling your half-assing your way through most of it, like routine, to get out of this you should try and do different sorts of pictures, either that or do the effects a different way. Pay more attention to each individual muzzleflash rather then just 'yeah this worked last time, slap it on move on'. 'these sparks look ok, slap on...' (While i've mentioned the sparks, i get the impression they are too... Big? or prominent... Not sure, but it's just a personal preference on my part that shouldn't matter)
Your good at making pictures Joazzz, please try to expand on your style, it looks nice, but can always look better. That little bit of attention to the details can make all the difference, hell, just look at Chesty's pictures.
Rather empty.
Thanks for the tips. I'll try and remember those next time. About the rushing... My biggest problem - which is also why about half of my pictures look rushed compared to the others - is my lack of patience. I've never had much patience, and that also is the reason why my editing is sometimes really rushed. When my posing is rushed, it is because I still recall how my computer used to shut itself down in the middle of posing a scene and loading the save broke my tools, and that's why I want to get the job done fast and that usually results in half-assed shit. I want to make a picture, a good one, and I would like to spend time on it to also make it good, but these things just... you know...
I also lack imagination, so it's this mediocre Terminator stuff all over again, and all the combat scenes and such are just generic I've Seen This In A War Pose-ones with no originality or anything.
I don't know how I could get rid of these negative sides of me. What ever I do, how good I ever want it to make, I almost always rush it and I know that I could do a lot better if I'd spend more time on it. But I just can't. Yet.
Pratice makes perfect I guess.
Oh, and which muzzleflash did you mean? The orange or the blue one?
The orange one. Blue blends in quite well, if not a bit oddly shaped but thats overly critical
I have the same problem, nowadays if i even make a picture i save every time I've done a layer, the best way i think to get a picture done without rushing is to do a segment, then before you get lazy just save it and walk away, return later when you feel like you can continue with the same quality.
