I guess. I was pretty impressed at first, but the characters felt really generic and uninteresting to me and after a while I realised I was just playing CoD. Then again, the graphics do make it different to an extent. Sick of shooters now anyway... they just can't hold my attention like they used to. I keep buying them and playing the singleplayer through once, playing online for a few hours and then uninstalling them for ever. I'd rather get sucked into an Empire: Total War campaign for a couple of days than play any available first-person-shooter. The only shooter I can think of that has done anything remotely interesting in the past few years is Metal Gear Solid 4... and that game isn't even supposed to be a shooter.

Tell me if I'm shitting on your thread, but I'm enjoying this mature conversation - something usually unknown to this place.
haha I played MGS4 online for the first time yesterday. christ, it's terrible. or maybe it's just me. -- regardless, it's uninteresting and even the single player is an absolute borefest.
you know, I had this discussion with myself the other day -- MGS4's octo camo is a pretty cool feature (regardless of it actually being a pre-made texture). Crysis should use it -- an active chomeleon type armor instead of this "digital disappearance" shit with little electricity sparks and whatever else there is that comes off of you. Sure, it looks pretty, but it'd be even more badass if the game just took a huge render target picture every frame and applied it on to your nanosuit so you aren't INVISIBLE, you just have the texture/appearance of the environment around you. That way instead of being SNAKE and turning in to a pile of rubble when you're leaning up on a wooden box, you just get the appearance of everything around you. It'd be more badass, I think.
and yeah I don't give a shit about this thread. most morons here just look at the pictures and move on because they're too lazy to type anything -- and I don't blame them. hell, I'm guilty.
