Before you start complaining that this is not the 'epic' thing I promised; I saw this in my folder and since it is related to the previous two pictures I posted I decided to post it before anything relatively interesting comes out. Hopefully.

But really,
- Good posing
- Lighting is confusing, is there some sort of flare on the ground?
- Good combination of BF2142 weapons rather than just using some nondescript SOPMOD
- Editing is simple and nice

And the weapons blend with them very well, I've never noticed the weapons are from BF2142 until it got pointed out.

Your pictures lately have been rather dull, Ben. They have a nice backstory in the title... but that's all there is too it really. They seem to be just Turians walking around and looking into the distance, with a bit of bloom overload.

I appreciate those who do fancy the more 'social' that I make rather than battles. But I do agree with the opposition. If I am to excel in any of my plans, whether it be Psy-Cops, Vortigaunt Chronicles, Sci-Fi Crew, Vandal, or whatever the fuck I think of, I will have to venture into the 'special effects' area.

the primary argument is that anyone can make these pictures. they don't require much of a specific skill set. you are just making portraits of people and nothing else. you could make really badass portraits if you blew out the details and added a great amount of depth in features like I did in my super experiments page but you don't. You go for snapshots. Your pictures are the equivalent of some soccer mom who just figured out how to put her camera in portrait mode and take pictures of her kids in the backyard with her brand new 350 dollar nikon touch-screen digital camera. it is far from impressive. the only thing you ever had going for yourself were the stories to compliment the picture and even then in their vagueness they were not enough to garner my interest (and everyone else here is easy to please so i speak for only myself because i trust my opinions and i do know what i'm talking about (nobody else does. think about it (name one person who is helpful (chestymcgee doesn't count because that's actually me (don't tell ANYBODY (just kidding why would i pretend to be that dork))))))
You need action in order to appeal to the masses. You can continue on the way you are now but if you do, you need to seriously start bringing out some detail. Take a look at portrait photography: use urban photography tutorials by someone like THIS GUY to know how to really blast out details and make shit look good. a lot of this can be achieved fairly easily. Believe it or not but I spend about ten minutes per picture in Photoshop, if even that, because everything is achieved ingame outside of making the portrait look good.

the same effect can be applied to gmod pictures; just on a less shitty scale. he completely overblows it like some little bitch (which he is). regardless; it's a good tool to use as a base.
