So digging into a persons history to find a video with shaky cam is looking desperate, of course you'll find some, its a common filming technique. I think what you're trying to say is "I don't like DHF's attitude, so I'm just going to go ahead and talk highly of every filmmaker but DHF."

Although I may lack experience in places such as storytelling, that's not what YouTube looks for. They don't look for intricate, multi-layer stories, they look for short bursts of entertainment. That's what I give them. If any of you have a problem with being entertained, don't watch my videos. Simple as that. I go here for criticism to see how my videos manage, and I see a lot of bias. I still post them on here just because it's fun to watch you guys pick it apart for the most ridiculous reasons, but I don't make them for Facepunch. Sorry.

No, you made you first GMod video six months ago he made his first a year ago... personally i could care less who made the video, I've told you this about 3 times now, i only care about what you make. And how do you see that as picking sides? You brought in a ten month old video to try and say he is a hypocrite, when his shaky cam is used correctly and has nothing to do with you needing to improve yours.

The story was horrible.

It had a lot of unneeded plot elements, it felt like it was a parody or a rip of dasboshitts works. IE the fight scenes, how they dragged on so long, and how they went across such vast sections of the world.
The choreograph was pretty bad, by this I mean, the clips should of been in better orders, IE the part where he jumps out of the plane, and they drive on the road.


It was just too much of a parody of dasboshitts videos.

IE

Notice, how it starts slow, much like yours, then two characters get into a conflict, and it turns into a just crazy fest of people killing each other ect ect.

Scout, I am genuinely intrigued that you actually expected a structural story out of this, considering that DHF made the above comment.

Unneeded plot elements, lack of structure, whatever you want to call it, we did it all. Who cares if the story lacks structure. It's not meant to be anything huge, like DHF just said. It was supposed to be a fun Christmas video. We had fun filming it, and if you didn't enjoy watching it, maybe your expectations were too high.


However, we did drop a few sub-plots, such as when the black guy cheats on his wife with a shovel.


Lastly, why is its similarities to DasBoSchitt so bad? He's relatively popular, although his videos aren't that funny. I have never seen any of his works, aside from some video someone posted up about it being creepy, and the 50k subscriber video. Weren't that great. However, we did enjoy filming it, we just wanted to make a 'lulz' kind of video, and we did just that.
