The color on the Russian in the first pic matches well with the background.

Well isolated but a bit aliased.

The first pic looks really cool, but there's something very wrong with the second. He seems extremely out of place.

Contract the selection by 1 to 2 pixels to get rid of any of the extra pixels that outline the isolation.

truth is, i couldnt do much with the second one as lighting seemed appropiate.

The soldier fits the lighting quite well in the first picture, but there are lots of bright outlines, especially around his helmet (which must be the original picture showing through).
