I think shadows on the flying tank to the left could be a little better.
Flying tank? And yea, I didn't do a whole lot with the shadows.
I also think the bullet shells would reflect more light from the muzzle flash.
Also, yea, I didn't bother much with the shells other than adding blur to them.

Not necessarily, these types of guns usually fire 35mm shells, which aren't really that big (If anything I probably should have made the shells smaller)
You should have blurr'd the barrels a bit on the edges to remove that horrible black outline, this is justified because the heat generated by the barrels would have caused it to look blurry anyway.
Somehow, I get the feeling that if I had blurred them, it would look strange. I could also have, you know, just erased the black. But I had noticed those outlines, and personally, I liked them. Not sure why, maybe it makes it look a little more stylized v

The shells don't really blend in, it looks like you tried to make them react to the light coming from the muzzleflash (or whatever u call it) but they look like wierd squiggly blurs to me.
As I mentioned to bodenlan, I didn't do a whole lot, but the way you put it, it sounds like they ruin the pic.
The smoke seems to have no depth except for the edges, using the Satin blending mode effectively can sometimes fix that but not often.
...I'm just gonna have to flat out disagree with you on that one. I just really don't see how you think the smoke looks flat, I just don't...
...also, Satin blending mode?? I'm usin' GIMP here, we don't have none of your fancy schmancy Photochop cheatery toolifications, just good old fashioned dodging and burning.
As for the flaming debri, it looks fantastic but i see a few copied, same goes for the tracer rounds.

And whoop dee doo, so I copy-pasted, It's not like you have never done anything like that. It would be a pain in the ass to individually make each one, and they are varied enough so that only really nitpicky people will notice and/or care.
Those are the few nit-picking things, now for the obvious glory.
Explosions/Debri/Plane/Lighting/Moon/everything is fantastic and makes me want to scream your name from the highest mountain top.
