When you do an action, say remove, that becomes the default option, so the next time you bring the wheel up, it's already selected. Currently many clicks are required to do somethings.

Same with converting to stone, metal etc.

    Anyone else?

Won't that lead to fuckups where you perform an action on the wheel, perform a different action, and then forget that you performed that second action a bit later and speed-click your way into the wrong action by losing track of which one is occupying the "last used" action slot?

Perhaps one option on the wheel should be "last used", separate from the default, so that you can just quickly snap to, say, the 7'o-clock position, and click, and there you go, but the default is also static.

I do like the idea of having a "repeat" option, but I don't think that's the right way of implementing it.

I don't have a problem with the building interface at all, and think it's one of the better designs in the game. I've never run into a situation where I need to remove so many pieces or upgrade them that it becomes annoying.

What might help is having something like the remove tool from Legacy Oxide. On a couple of servers I played on you typed remove and then anything you hit would be removed. Add this function to the hammer kind of like elix suggested, Last Used On/Off.

Or maybe it remembers the last action for 5 seconds or so. Not sure. Building large, there is a lot of mouse clicking going on.

Seems weird you have to open the wheel then click on something. Should be able to hover over and let go.

Are you not aware the hammer already does that with the remove function?

You mean you can just keep left clicking after selecting remove once?

No. I misunderstood I guess. Having it that way would cause more screw ups than it would save in time being the way discussed here tho, in my humble opinion.

No worries, don't think I explained it very clearly. Regardless, I agree Thor-axe. I have no problem with the building system at all except for stability.
