I just recently installed Rust. Seems like a fun game.. however I can't get passed this water issue I am having. It's not being drawn correctly. I've tried lowering my setting and the issue still remains. Please see screenshot. If anyone knows of a figure / configuration setting I can change to attempt to fix this issue I'd be interested.

It appears the water simply is not being drawn correctly. The further away I get the better it looks in most cases. My GPU is an AMD card. I have no issues with any other game. So please don't start blaming the card. It's most definitely the game.

Solution = Wait till they get around to fixing the cosmetics. Focusing on optimizing and gameplay is what the community is rooting for now.

Yeah but this isn't a problem everyone is having. It's only affecting certain hardware. I have several friends that play and the water looks gorgeous on their computers. I have no problem waiting for a fix. I just wanted the issue to be aware of. I got used to the black dot reflection water for the most part. Hell.. I might even hate it when they fix the water in the future! (sarcasm btw)

They'll fix it. It looked great on my computer a couple of weeks ago now it's like a 8-bit sea of horror.

    Right here:

Andre fixed the “everything is black” bug on OSX/Linux. This was caused by our move to Unity beta 18. He fixed it by disabling reflection probes on those platforms. This has a side effect of causing the water to be full white.

The water is also flickering black for some users. This should all get fixed properly in a later Unity beta – so for now please accept our apologies.
    Second paragraph.

I am not convinced this is the same problem that the OP posted a picture off.

Sentence immediately before the one you quoted in the post you were replying to.
