Hi, After the last update from Rust EXPERIMENTAL the night takes far too long.
Many complaints from players on my server.
Many left the game because they have to play too long in the dark.
please, we want quick fix in the next update. night should be much shorter.!!
sample 75% day time / night time 25% !!
question: what others think about the duration of the night time in rust experimental?

I agree, but not because night times not fun

Its because night time isn't functional at the moment due to the gamma boosting

most players do not like it. to play very long in the dark.
I hear every hour on my server, from different players, the night takes so long.:(
(I do not want to install mods on my server.)

How do you do anything at night when you cannot hold a weapon while activating the torch?
I just sit around in my shack and wait out the night.

Although it's classed as cheap, everyone just turns up their gamma. It's been confirmed by EAC that this will never be detected, there was a thread here about it.

I don't do the gamma thing, but I haven't played the latest update so I don't know exactly what it's like. Previously the night was light enough I could creep around the desert and open areas. No forests though. Too dangerous!

I think nights would be more fun if there were better ways to illuminate the environment. Just a torch isn't good enough, we need flashlights for our weapons and a hard hat with a flashlight on it would be cool too.

You could get the flashlight attachment. Unless they removed it

not in yet, but haven't heard anything about it being removed.

personally i find the moonlight enough to see by without any gamma boosting. its just far less safe because its hard to see animals that come to fuck you up. i only go out if i need to, using the night for crafting and building by furnace light.

Also complaints because in the night.
the bears and wolves can not be seen in time.
and run faster.
many players wait until it is daylight.
they get long balls from the long wait ;)
