I'm running a 75 slot Rust server and my server has has reached ~40 players today and as the day has gone on the player count naturally drops and it seems now that everyone that connects at this point is kicked for the following problem:
[EAC] Kicking STEAMID (unconnected)
PLAYERNAME has left (EAC: unconnected)
This has even occurred to myself, the server owner, when I attempted to connect again. Very disappointing.
Edited:
Even after a Rust server restart, 11 people were able to reconnect after the restart and everyone thereafter is kicked for the above reason. Even myself.

Yeah looks like all the player counts are dropping on the servers right now for the same reason. Ive been booted, my twitch viewers have been booted... its a bad deal right now.

Verifying that this started happening to me after running an update today (though didnt think there was anything to update)
But after that, same issue for my server and EAC: Unconnected kick back to lobby.
The only way I can see to bypass it atm is to set the server to unsecured (+server.secure "false"). Will let you log in after that so atm it seems to be the only way to allow ppl to play untill whatever the issue is is sorted.

The only workaround I can see at the moment is for server owners to disable eac by setting server.secure to false, though many may not want to do this.
