    Hi there,

I'm new to Rust (purchased a 4 pack last night for me and my friends) and am looking to setup a dedicated server for my friends and I to play on so we can get use to the game and building things without the hassle of other people blasting us with guns, for now while we get used to the game and learn how to play better.

So far I have followed every guide I've seen on here and I've got my server downloaded by using the SteamCMD and running the information found on here: http://rustdev.facepunchstudios.com/dedicated-server I have a .bat file created and have input my server name info and etc in the .bat file, the problem I seem to be running into is as the point of launching the server, the CMD window loads up till it get to this spot stating "Unsupported encoding: 'utf8'"

Here is a screenshot: (for now I reverted the .bat info to reflect the link above)

I can't seem to fix the utf8 issue, the same thing happens on a legacy server if I try to run one, which I am not, I want to play the new version.
Any help would be greatly appreciated from myself and my friends.

This is not something you can fix atm, and it shouldn't be causing you or the server any impact. Pretty sure someone said it has something to do with support for Russian Characters - it started following an update about a month ago and so far hasn't been sorted.

    Just ignore!
