Ok there has been alot said about walls and how strong they should or should not be with respect to raiding. Here is my take on the subject.
As a former law enforcement officer i have seen many breaking and entering cases on many different types if buildings. Almost all of the entries were gained via a door or window. I did however have a case where the would be thief tried to sledge hammer his way through a cynderblock wall at the back of a service station. Now this is important as i think the cynderblock wall is a good comparison for the stone wall. In any case our investigation showed this brainiac worked for almost 8 hours and did t get a hole big enough to crawl through. I say brainiac as a smart thife would have thrown the sledge hammer through the 8 foot plate glass window in the front.
Now with this example i think it should be clear that in game time it should take a considerable amout of time for one persone to break through one stone wall. Wood (log as the graphics indicate) should also take quite a long time especially with a hatchet rather than aproper axe.

yeah, i agree with you; though it should be possible to demolish walls, floors, foundations etc, it should actually be really hard work (even with the right tools), and should be a raiders last resort. doors and windows should be easier to break (ie with less health) as doors need to be light enough to move, and window bars need to be thin enough to see past.
