Hey everyone,
I'm sure we were all surprised and somewhat delighted to hear that the update finally dropped for Rust today. Personally, I was stoked as shit to see the update downloaded overnight, but was then dismayed when my game would not launch due to an unknown error. After doing practically everything to get it working, I nearly gave up, but then I finally got the game to work! HUZZAH! As soon as I jumped in I noticed a lot of changes, but then... I saw the true nature of the update. The undying chicken MP3s littered my eardrums, the pain and frustration of a now even more unstable game was alive and well, and many more features that were the main idea behind this update fell through. The animal animations are laggy as hell, the frustration of the fanbase may grow to an all time high, and we don't even know what to do about it as that fan base. In summary, I fell as though the update shouldn't have dropped the update the way it did. The server I frequent is now even more unstable than before. I know the game is in Alpha, and I understand that the development process is a cuel and harsh mistress, but if the update was not ready, why release it?
Please post below with your comments on the new update, whether good or bad, for we signed onto this game as testers, so why not actually show our results for a change?
Honestly, I am glad they aired it because now they can fine-tune and create stuff at a faster pace. Gotta love Beta.
Edit: Also Poll options are one-sided.
