Now I may have an entirely different view from the rest of the community but I think that huge wooden houses like this or like this should be near end game fortresses, not beginner shelters. Something that would fit Rust more would be if newer players (or even veterans) would be able to build small, hidden shelters like underground hovels and small tree houses. Now this is a very rough idea with little support. I just thought this would make Rust more interesting than having every single player create their own super fortress. Yes and no I reckon. While I dont think there should be restriction for players to build whatever they like, I like the idea of different types of housing. It would be cool in the world to see a mixture of hovels, huge bases and also inhabited caves or holes in the ground.

When in Legacy and also the new version coming across a huge base that someone has spent a great deal of time on - seeing them and you see the effort being put in on some of these builds. I dont think that these should be made into end game type items...

i think it's a matter of cost vs safety. players will put the effort in to build a large shelter as the multiple layers increase the safety. by having high cost parts, players would start with smaller buildings, but if imbalanced, it would be gamebreaking, when players cannot afford to make a relatively safe base.
