Rust gets more beautiful with each update. this screenshot was taken on a stable server. I have been playing on my dev server (and others), and almost don't want to return to the stable channel because the updates have made Rust almost jaw droppingly beautiful Almost photo realistic. I am drooling to see the next update come to the stable branch.

For me, Rust is playable, and addictive. I love the game, I marvel at where it is going, and enjoy watching it grow. The only complaint I have ever had is trolls, and the run & gun addicts who need conflict and grief to have fun. How does one get rid of a troll? Don't feed it. If one just ignores them and gives them no pleasure or issues to crow over, they get bored and go away. (or explode, which is even more funny)

The game is buggy, but of course it is. There are games from HUGE companies out there that have been released as a final product, that are buggier than Rust, so I am not sweating it when a bug is introduced by the team we rely on, they are not a huge ass company, but they communicate directly to us, and even I have seen a few of my suggestions (in the right forum of course) get implemented in game in one way or another.

Post the things you love about rust, and your most beautiful screenshots here. I want to see them, and I hope others do as well.

Please, enjoy the view from my current deck, and repeat after me: "Update Friday update Friday..." :-p

Yeah, me too. It's not my hardware though, I think they are working on what causes it?

Dunno. I have everything cranked to the max, on Fantastic. I know they are working on reflections, shaders, and so forth. They recently lowered the water quality as well. Maybe that is it.

That strange gray shader on water has been sorted out in the new dev versions.

my favorite landscape screenshot ATM is this one.

this is an old one, anyone seen the northern lights, i have not noticed them whilst playing over the last few weeks, have they been removed ?

    Edit:
A few more screenshots and why i love rust

So i got Rust when it came to steam, i heard of it a few weeks earlier from a friend and how he was going to get it once it was released,
I got steam (I only got steam to play rust) downloaded rust and played for 400~ hours we had updates now and again but then in April sometime after the repair bench update,
it be came apparent that updates and news on steam had stopped, i started to investigate Early Access and success rates of games in alpha,
I found a few had just quit or fallen to the wayside, after moaning and bitching on steam about the no updates i was going to un-install rust so when to steam properties,
looked under Beta tab, and found "Experimental Stay Out" or something along them lines,

So i joined it as you do, and this is where the first screenshot comes in, my first foot steps in the new rust,

pretty unimpressive but it was something new so i investigated some more and ended up here at the FP forums (a fairly daunting forum for a noob so many opinionated people)
But i stayed on the sidelines and did a lot of reading and playing on the new rust.

then this happened and i was like "shit this game is gonna be beautiful one day"

Things only got better over the following months progressing and evolving here are a few shots from along my journey.

800+ hours in the development/experimental build and still happy and encouraged by the direction and aesthetics of the game. Great Job Dev team
Since i started to follow rust i have also started to follow other Early Access games but none have the edge that rust has.

Are you talking about the edge of the playable map? I think up to that line is where you can swim out to

no it was a shader/cam effect problem you can see it worse here

It depends on your orientation as to which way the line/lines run

Tired of being killed as soon as I spawn on the beach, so I got angry and decided to show the punks just how easy it is to do what they do. 3 minutes. They must be trolling, lazy or stupid.

I think that line is the end edge of the map, i swam out to one once and it froze the game. :)
