just comment your hours(please be 1000+ hours or have an acceptable amount :P) and the amount of people you got. I got 1400 hours, I only pvp, i can careless about farming.

I can careless about your hours
i can careless about ur comment cause u aren't good lmao, usual casual that spends more time on the forums than the game. Also, hours matter when it comes to rust, Imean would u rather play with someone with 50 hours or 1000 hours?
I'm sorry, you are absolutely right. How could I question your reasoning. I am a filfhy casul.
Hours do matter a ton for Rust PvP so it's quite logical for him to put a requirement when it comes to amount of hours played. Dunno why you gotta hate on this guy just looking for a group :|
:( sorry
thanks for the support :P
I would like to play, i also only pvp and have 500 hours but decent aim. Steam name is [RP] Revo please reply here since i am not on my pc if you are interested.
and my clan has about 10 people that usually play.
what is this thing called legacy?
Legacy is a movie from 1998, starring David Hasselhoff. Please do not watch it!
@Tudy: I have played 1500+ hours of Rust, Legacy and Experimental, PvP and PvE. Tried out many different servers with many different mods...but believe me, i suck in this game.
I aim like a mole, so i spent most of this time building stuff and farming for my team. Sometimes a fresh player can be the better choice to team up, especially when he meets more importaint standards than experience. Like motivation, ability to communicate properly, matching online times and matching with your gaming style.
Anyway, you could share the experience that you obviously have with others...by teaching them the basics and forming a clear-cut team.
lol @ people playing an alpha game and declaring themselves "good" at it.
The shooting mechanics in legacy are totally broken, anyone who considers themselves a "serious" Rust PVPer is a total joke. Good luck finding people to play a broken unsupported alpha with.
I would play, and the mechanics are not broken, the recoil is random, no crosshair, balanced headshots, medkits that stop healing if damaged, and your aim does not go down automaticly after firing some rounds.
You probably got shot 3 times and yelled HACKERS and you never played legacy again...
For me the legacy of Rust will always be better than the Rust that they are destroying right now :)
Seriously? How so?
What does it being in alpha have to do with anything? This 'alpha' has been available on Steam largely unchanged in its very popular PvP shooting mechanics for almost a year.
What does alpha have to do with being good at a survival game? Being able to survive is what makes you "good" at a survival game isn't it?
Not that Rust is much of a survival game anymore, it's mostly PvP now..
And to be honest the PvP mechanics are pretty amazing if you ask me. There's definitely a skill curve too that you apparently underestimate or maybe even explain by saying someone with high skill is a hacker :P
Hours mean nothing, Either you have good survival instinct or you don't.
I was nearly as good when i first started playing as i am now. If i want to control a area of the map (survive) I will and there's practically no stopping me.
The question to find good players should be "Do your base(s) get raided successfully?, Do you Successfully Raid?, Do you have large stockpiles of resources ready to make war, or handle a Siege?," ANd since you're wanting good players that can work in a TEAM you should also ask if they WORK WELL WITH OTHERS...
Hours played is a simple, objective measure that has some correlation with ability in the game. Not perfect correlation but there is no simple, objective measure that has perfect correlation.
Survival instinct is neither simple, nor objective. Neither are the other questions you pose, since someone could easily say yes and not actually meet the criteria.
Good luck winning a war when you can't aim well.
Hours mean a lot when it comes to Player vs Player combat which is a part of surviving/controlling an area in Rust.
I don't want to appear like a fanboy or anything but certain players are no-life enough to be so good at aiming in Rust they'll easily win a 1v4 vs people that aren't so good with aiming.
Hours matter a lot. Not even just for PvP but it's the clearest example
I'll put this out there. I only have 200 hrs of legacy play, but those are mostly from the beginning... when Rust came out.
Recently started playing experimental. I'm casual these days but do coordinate well, have a mic, and willing to give my excess loot to the group. I'm more in it for the PvP action...
If anyone wants an extra to their group let me know... Send a pm.
In Rust, it is much more effective to aim with your WASD keys. Anyone who is good at shooting in rust knows this.
Lets take CS as an example. In CS, when I move, I have to compensate for that movement in the other direction, or my aim is off.
In Rust, I can strafe and strafe and strafe and even jump, and my bullets will go where the crossair shows they will. This makes lining up headshots extremely easy if you know what you are doing. Same with with CS, but its much harder in CS because of the aim debuff.
Also if I lower my res, it makes your head nice and large and fat. I don't do this, but you can do this and it does confer somewhat of an advantage in PvP.
Little things like this make rust PvP like an arena shooter, and I guess its decent at that, but frustrating in that you have to farm all the gear you just lost PvPing.
You guys can shoot holes in my argument all you like, but I don't think there's any argument that as far as PC shooters go, Rust doesn't really stack up. It's alright, not "amazing".
Your grammar just gave me Ebola... Plus, you're not even that good at Rust xD
So this thread started as a recruitment and ended up as a fight of new rust vs old rust and how people play, i mean what is wrong with this community.
lol people still in this post, can an admin just take it down, its useless at this point. All i see are butthurt people that suck at the game lmao
This community is torn between the old timers like myself, i personally enjoy Rust more than the new crap what ever it is and then there is the guys that moved on to the new version or just pretend that they play it when actually all they do is raid the devblogs and forums. Tudy you keep playing the legacy son fuck the new version we 'gonna boycott the 'mothafucka! :D
you do that.
