I have a few questions as to when and if I/we should submit a Bug report.

I play/Test a lot i update my server nearly hourly while i am awake.

So my main question is when do you think a bug should be reported?

An example: In client build #2119 there is/was a bug that i think is/was to do with the coherent_host.exe, This bug is a game breaker i lost 75%~ fps and the menu, inventory and chat are barely usable,

how long do you normally wait till you report a bug?

I know if it's something cosmetic or not a game breaking problem i normally wait a day or so before reporting it, but keep an eye out for it in the bug section, but i have seen game breaking bugs left in the dev branch and ported to main without ever seeing them on any forums. but others bugs have been sorted within hours without any publicity.

Cant hurt to report it right away, if the devs are aware good and if not then They will be getting on it sooner than if you wait to report

But if I had reported every bug as it was ported to dev branch, and i thought the bug important/a game breaker which was addressed and probably known about by the Dev team and sorted out within 4 hours the bug section would have 100~ more erroneous threads.

Im just saying if its a game breaker and no one says shit cause they figure the devs know already then we have a problem! So what if there are a few extra threads (i doubt it would be 100s) threads can be closed

True, But as with the bug i mentioned in the first post, it is now fixed the Coherent.host is now only using 1-2% cpu, if that was mended because of the Bug report i put in or a dev read one of these posts or the bug was known about straight away after the build was published and the devs were already working on it. we will never know,

100~ is probably right (altho as it's been pointed out i now and again exaggerate to make a point) i have run 1000's of versions of the new rust since mid April when the experimental branch was first made public, there are 5,000+ updates on twitter updates, and there was more before (when the change log was in rust files). i do concede that out of those 100~ what i would call erroneous reports only 25% would have been Game breaking. the other would be annoying bugs, but all were fixed without public intervention.

personally i report everything. they can ignore it if its erroneous, or be informed if they don't know it:)
I am going to just wait a couple of iterations if the bug persists then report it.
