This is the Beta-version of the Scenebuild Mega Pack.

It's called Beta because i'll have to re-compile around 90% of the models.
That doesn't mean these are buggy or full of errors. Not at all. However, folder structures,
Phong Tags (it's probably the same as Smoothing Groups in 3ds-Max) and materials have to be re-done.
And while i'm working on that, you can try the current Version.
Keep that in mind if you want to load a savegame later with replaced stuff. Since you will probably need to
delete some folders in order for a clean replacement when i upload finished folders/"Modules".

What you will get now: (Description of the folders)
    Code:
Scenebuildthemes (Main Folder) = Skingrouped Skyboxes with different Sizes
ARG = Argonian/Alien looking Props (all in one folder - unsorted)
Buildings = Some entire Buildings or parts of it
    Ceiling = Ceilings ... obviously
Christmas = Everything Christmas Related (atm there's only one Gift group in it - the rest can be found in Furniture/Deco)

../Deadstuff = will be filled with dead Stuff that's still in the Environment Folder

Floorstuff = Floors (atm mostly SciFi related)
Flowers = Alien looking Plants and Flowers
../02 = will be filled with some more plants
Foliagestuff = Smaller Plants, Bushes, Grass etc.
    ../Winter = Winter related Foliage
Furniture = Still filled with unsorted stuff
    ../Bedstuff = Beds, Matress etc.
../Business = Phones, Copymachine, File Cabinets, Clipper etc.
../Cabinetstuff = Cupboards, Cabinets, Shelves etc.
../Chairstuff = Stools, Chairs, Couches, Rocking Chair etc.

../Torture = Tools for torture or death like Spanish Donkey, Shackles and Electric Chair
    ../Water = Lifering and Paddle
Toys = Darts, Bouncehouse, Teddybear, Pinball Machine, Crayons etc.
    Treestuff = Different Trees
    ../Palms = what shall i say? Palms
../Winter = Winter related Trees such as Pines and such
Vinestuff = Hanging Moss, Lianes, Roots etc.
Wallstuff = Different kind of Walls
Note: "Modelname_SG" means it has Skingroups

Again, most of the stuff is unsorted and needs to be re-compiled into different Folders and will get a material makeover.
IF you want to have a look at finished stuff, you can find it in folders like:
    Furniture/Tablestuff
    Furniture/Chairstuff
    Wallstuff

It means the models inside these folders are finished, so is that folder structure. Yet have to be filled with more Content over time.

All Models, Textures, Credits belong to their respective owners. I only made the models compatible with Source.

    Download:

Some example Pics (don't worry, there's more in these specific folders):

The importance of the collision mesh (i don't like green circles everywhere or to use the ignore tool for chairs)

Having beta tested this stuff for a lil while, I can firmly say you're not gonna find
a pack with more varied and useful models anywhere else for scenebuilding.

    Superb work fella!

I've always been too lazy to scenebuild for the last few months for whatever reason, well that ends in an hour or so when this finishes downloading. Looking amazing, and knowing your release history, it is amazing.

I have one question really... Since this is a general public release, will people like me who make comics and things in other medium like DAZ studio, will we be allowed to use these models? Or is this only for Gmod?

you can convert it to whatever model format you want. you can give credit or not. it'd be nice. but i'm not the author of these models. i only port this stuff for comic makers/scenebuilders or movie makers.
    so yeah, please, go head.

Fantastic. Judging by the images seen, I can make some REALLY good props with these. The Flora alone would make for an interesting alien world.

check for the "sleazy club" stage props, they're not technically meant as floors but no one will notice

you could probably fix it by dividing it into multiple addons like Larry's Ultimate Weapon Pack from the fabled days of gmod yore

with how addons work now it's the only choice tbh

This is a great pack of ports, but do you happen to have the original .obj formatted rips laying around?

Games like Lost Planet 3, Aliens:CM, Witcher 2 and more.

    It doesn't have hardwood floors.
All in due time. The Floorstuff props have to be re-compiled anyways. New stuff will be added aswell.
You should know it's an ongoing project that yet have to get in the right shape. Folder structures will be changed and such.

I guess you're talking about the Legacy Browser? Actually i've no idea what that thing looks like anymore. The default Spawnlist is really neat though. While pressing "Q" Open the "Games" folder, then "Garry's Mod" scroll down to "themask", wait for the little + to expand and there's the "Scenebuildthemes" folder. It's all listed in there in sub-categories, just as described. It's pretty obvious that almost every Gmod user is aware of this. However the Scenebuildpack is ported for using that method of how to spawn stuff.
On a sidenote you can push and pull the border of the spawnwindow to read more of the text in the folder browser. (Good for subcategories like Furniture/Chairstuff etc.) Yeah i just discovered that recently.
Great thing about the Default Spawnmenu is that you can create custom Spawnlists yourself anyways.

Sorry but i won't go through all the project folders and convert .c4d files to fbx/obj and seek all the fitting materials. I port stuff through the content browser of C4D so the original files are in the game folders. And i don't want to upload hundreds of Gigabytes. I'm currently busy with porting the Foliagestuff folder over again because of not-flipped-and-duplicated-normals/Polygons and re-doing the materials, make the stems of some bushes actually round etc. (Same goes for all of the other folders anyways.) One step at a time though.

    Found some bugs:

    - The wall air conditioners under "Machinery" have some weird texture inside the fans, which I guess is the non-existent blades' texture.
    - "sm_table_wood_02" has an wonky collision causing the table to sink in the ground and things to float above it.

also, some of the materials seem to be missing mipmaps, might just be the detail maps though
it's esp apparent on the church

makes the texture have some real bad looking aliasing

overwrite every one of these files.

yes. i'm not a big fan of mipmaps. i prefer a downsampling resolution to avoid such possible aliasing effects.
that way the textures will be displayed not washed out while having every detail visible at the same time due to the better resolution.
when you use these props you should have a strong rig anyways due to vram and ram requirements (lotsa 2k textures) and the cpu should handle loads of polygons.
